I haven't used my Twitter account in over a year. So I just went through and deleted nearly everyone that I followed. Going forward, I think I want to use stricly for news and sports updates. Not really concerned about celebs, etc... Any suggestions on who to follow. For news I'm following Huff Post, and I'd like more surrestions there... Maybe a news outlet or two that doesn't tweet as much as they do. And for sports I'm following Woj, McClain, and really that's it for now. I'm about to go through and add more of the obvious names. But your suggestions will be appreciated. More info on who to follow during this Dwight saga is also strongly desired. Wouldn't be a bad way to earn some rep as well, I mean, if thats your thing. Just saying...
For nba stuff - @ESPNSteinLine | @KBergCBS | @daldridgeTNT | @sam_amick | @ChrisMannixSI | @SpearsNBAYahoo For news - I'd use this list and pick some out. https://twitter.com/palafo/breakingnews/members Can't go wrong with any of those.
You really don't have to "follow" any of them. One thing that I do is make lists specific to certain subjects and add people to them That way, in order to get caught up on what's going on in that arena, you just have to go to that list and don't have to worry about frequent tweeters cluttering up your main timeline. Here's an example, the list I use to keep up with NBA News/Media: https://twitter.com/AstroRocket/nba-media You can probably find some good NBA follows in there too.
It may be redundant with the other sports people you end up following, but @MarkBermanFox26 is solid.
As a Houston fan, I follow the teams (the Astros tend to tweet too much PBP), Morey, Luhnow, Clutchfans, Bimathug, and Jason Friedman (a little redundant if you are following Rockets).
