Instead of the NBA All-Star game being East vs West I think it would be more interesting than watching an All-Star game that's all highlights and no D.

    USA:

    PG: Billups
    SG: Kobe
    SF: Tmac
    PF: TDuncan
    C: Shaq

    Bench: Wade, Lebron, Garnett

    Foreingers:

    PG: Nash
    SG: Ginobili
    SF: AK47
    PF: Dirk
    C: Yao

    Bench: Gasol, TParker, Peja

Who would win and how bad?

Well judging by those rosters, I'd expect the US team to win due to having more fire-power at the swing positions. But it would be a very close and competitive game.

    NBA Rules or Internation Rules?

    NBA Rules
    Dirk/Gasol <<<<< TDuncan/Garnett

considering that the u.s. team lost to a regular national team that wasnt all nba players, i think your roster of n.b.a. international players would wipe the floor w/ the u.s. team.

Why do you sign off every single one of your posts with 'Rocket River'; does it add a sense of formality to the whole situation for you? I'm just curious.

This would be a fun game to watch with the matchups.

T-Mac would cover Dirk as he did when he embarassed him in the playoffs
    AK-47 would cover Kobe
    Ginobli would cover T-Mac

This would pretty much mean as long as the above mentioned arent getting beaten, Shaq/Duncan would be guarding Yao. In which case, despite my love for the big fella, Yao would have his hands full. And this is all without even mentioning two of the best players in the league (Wade, LeBron) who would create plenty of matchup problems on their own.

You could also add to the USA roster: Dwight Howard, Brand, AI, Allen, Arenas, Pierce, Bosh, Redd, Kidd, Kaman, etc. "Team USA" would have so many more options when assembling their roster.

The starting matchup would be interesting. The US bench would kill the World bench.

Billups Vs Nash = I see Chauncy Posting Nash Up - his strength versus nash's finess
Kobe vs Ginobilli - kobe has superior D and O
    T-MAC vs AK47 - the ultimate O vs D matchup. I think T-mac's D is better than AK47's O
TDuncan Vs Dirk - Dirk cannot handle TDunc in the post and would foul out by halftime
Shaq Vs Yao - a Slugging match . . . IMO Yao would get the best of this match up.

But it would be a really fun game to watch. Don't underestimate the demage shooters like Peja could do, with a Yao playing down low, and Nash directing. I would say it's a close game, but definitely fun one. Why don't they start to do it, isn't globalization the idea?

i guess Tim Duncan is considered American even though he's from the Virgin Islands? *shrug*?

But i'll play along with your lineup and say the World Team will win.
