Rooting for the USA, but Portugal will win by a couple of goals. The USA just isn't quite there yet talent-wise to win a World Cup game, but they are getting there.
How could you forget the tie as an option in your poll (or do you know something we don't)? My jingoism will show through and I'll predict 1-1.

Tough game. The US just doesn't have the talent level of the Portugese, and any of the US players with "injuries" will probably sit for the game. . . . But I can't pick against the US. 2-2.
Sorry guys but US will lose 2-0 to Portugal. Or maybe 4-1. Without Claudio Reyna in the middle(Quarterback in soccer) they are going to be their asses handed to them. This is like Sacramento Kings(Portugal) vs Clippers (USA). Portugal is very very talented and USA is very young and explosive. Should be fun to watch anyways. I hope the US can pull a tie. If the US had Clint Matis up front and Renya in the middle. The US squad will be playing defensive minded hoping for a tie. They are probably will concede the game to Portugal. I hope to win/tie the other two games to much easier teams to try to qualify for the next round.
I have waited 4 years for this game I know who will win, I know who is best, i know no mzatter what I have to tell you that i think America will win. Some situations require a suspension of reality. otherwise i would go mad. and to go into a game beliveing that you may not win is inconceivable Im sure even the bulls go into every game thinking they can crush the kings, PEACE LETS GO USA
