USA vs Poland

I say USA wins 5-0. Two goals by us, and three by Poland kicking it into their own goal...

The ONLY good Polish joke I've ever heard (told this one to my friend, who's of Polish decent, and he laughed)

A Mexican, an Italian, and a Pollock are eating lunch on the 30th floor of a skyscraper on which they are doing construction.

The Mexican opens up his lunchbox and finds a burrito. he screams in disguset, "AHH! If my wife packs me one more burrito, I'm going to jump off this skyscraper to my death! The Italian opens up his lunchbox and finds a slice of pizza. He screams, "If my wife packs pizza for me again, I'm going to jump off this skycscraper to my death!". The Pollock opens up his lunchbox and finds a piece of Polish sausage. He screams the same thing, "If my wife packs Polish sausage one more time, I'm jumping to my death!"

So, the next day, the Mexican opens up his lunchbox, finds a burrito, and jumps, falling 30 stories to his death. The Italian opens up his lunchbox, finds a slice of pizza, and jumps to his death. The Pollock opens his lunchbox, finds a Polish sausage, and plunges to his death...

The next day, the wives of the three guys are grieving together.

The wife of the Mexican says, "If I hadn't packed that burrito for him, I'm certain he wouldn't have jumped!"

The wife of the Italian says, "Me too! If I hadn't packed that pizza, MY husband wouldn't have jumped"

The wife of the Polish guy sat there with a confused look on his face..."I don't get it...he packed his OWN lunch that day!"

 

I can't really seem to get into the World Cup. It's incredibly boring to watch.

 

DaDakota and ATrain, you two are lucky that the Rockets aren't drafting a player from Poland.

After the Tyson fight and the NBA finals the World cup has been such a let down

hmmmm if we finish behind S. Korea we play Mex. if we win we play Italy- I wish we could win out and play Mexico - we have played well against them lately esp. the Mexico City tie.

 

USA all the way. And as a reward for winning our group, we get to play Italy in the next round.

I find it interesting that every time a soccer thread pops up someone feels the need to call it boring. Guess I'll have to start posting in the baseball threads.


Regarding the NBA finals. What little of it I watched I found to be very uninteresting. Hopefully the East can improve somehow.

Friedel was awesome vs. S. Korea. I hope he can keep it up if the US plays it conservative. We were struggling against the speed and endurance of S. Korea, but I heard that Polland lacks speed in their backline. U-S-A!

 

I'm the only person who's giving Poland any type of chance to win, so I put them in a draw situation with the USA.

I'm half Polish-half hispanic, but I'm pure american.

I gotta give some support.

 

Italia is going to beat up on USA if they win this game.

Unless the US is more aggressive and doesn't allow Poland to ram the ball constantly, their luck will run out. Poland isn't a very good team, but they have the capability to capitalize on mistakes.

Thankfully, I don't think they'll beat the US, and the US will move on.

 

they really need to play for a tie but thats hard. i say get a good lead, like 2-0 then score two quick own goals and play mexico

since that is the most popular answer it must be a good one.

I do think Poland can score. especially with Korean fans supporting. 2-1 is most likely the result.
America is not a high scorer, especially with reyna running the show. Stewert should play, so it may go a bit more up tempo. problem with that is donavan or Beasley will be sitting most of the game. Mathis better knock a few back.

also on Mexico. after that tie in mexica and all the struggles their team had the Mexican team was COMPLETELY re-vamped. and with those new players has been on a tear.
