He didn't do jack because he was replaced and didn't play much. The Texans shouldn't give away a lot becuase it looks like a buyer's market, but Henry is really good and underrated.

    2 good years:

in 2002 he played in 16 games and ran for 1438 yards
in 2003 he played in 15 games and ran for 1356 yards

he was over 4 yards per carry in both of those years...he averages over 4 yards per carry for his career.

    13 TD's in 2002
    10 TD's in 2003

he only started 5 games last season

Is Henry that much better than D. Davis? Not to me. Im satisfied with Davis as our #1 back. He may not be a Priest Holmes or E. James but you can win with Davis as your #1 back.

    ok, fine

I do not have a problem with Henry and he would be an upgrade in depth at RB but the Texans should be focusing on OL more than a RB.

He's better just because he stays on the field. Davis gets hurt too much, he's not a feature back.

I agree. I think Henry is probably better, long-term, than DD. I wouldn't get rid of DD, though.

if they get henry, and assuming that none of these guys is involved in the trade to buffalo, the texans will have:

    t henry
    d davis
    t hollings
    v morency
    j wells

thats too many RBs on the roster and a lot of wasted high draft choices (especially hollings)

Travis follows his blockers,is tough down at the goalline, and holds onto the ball.He is a nice receiver too.while I'd rather have a bigger back with more breakaway speed, this guy just gets it done.If it wasn't for the wonderful story of Willis he wouldn't be going anywhere...Definitely an upgrade in my mind....great instincts.

As was said before, none of it really matters if we don't have an OL that can protect the QB more than 2 seconds. We can't run the ball every single time.

But you take what's available at the time. At this point, trading for Henry likely has no effect on our ability to bring in another OL. Remember that we made an effort to sign Pace...it didn't work out. There isn't much available for OL upgrades this offseason, as best I can tell. So you don't miss an opportunity to get a guy you believe to be an upgrade elsewhere merely because you have a perceived weakness somewhere else.

Buffalo couldn't throw, and he still got those yards. But he will want to start or an uprising will occur.

The running games does indeed have an indirect relationship to throwing time. Better ground game means more play-action opportunities, as well as slowing the pass rush in general.

The only thing I have against this trade is that it seems to negate the whole point of drafting Morency. Surely the Texans can do better with a 3rd round pick than getting at best the #3 RB for the team.
