Good to see Bowen is out now. I think he should also cut from the National team entirely such that we can have one new people for the Olympics. Bowen is useless now and should be useless for the Olympics, then why bother keep him at all?

let us hold our hands and pray battier and co win it all.

Also add to that battier comes back safely and uninjured and quicker and stronger and taller and better shooting.

man, why is kirk hinrich on the team? He missed so many threes during the exibition games and he's only responsibility is to knock down open threes. We got chris paul and D wade for the point guard position. I have a feeling we are going to suck at the three point again.

Hinrich can play, he's a good defender, a good 3 point shooter, and a good perimeter player. Who else would be on the team? Please don't say Bruce Bowen

Hinrich is the best perimeter defender on the team.

What is Carmelo Anthony doing on the team? He will not help the US win. Neither will Jamison. The team would have been better off with unselfish roleplaying team players instead of those two.

If you think Carmelo won't help, you have not been watching them play.

He's arguably been their best player so far. Exhibited great hustle and energy on the defensive end, runs on the break as hard as anyone, and he's been the best perimeter shooter on the team as well.

Its college 3...Carmelo, LBJ, D Wade, Battier, Hinrich, Jamison, Joe Johnson and even Brad Miller can all hit that shot.

LOL at the person who said Carmelo won't help.

Newsflash: Carmelo is currently the MVP of Team USA. Anyone who has been watching the exhibition games will attest to this. They even nearly lost a game because he was injured early. I would cut LeBron before I cut Carmelo, no kidding.

Jamison has been fairly consistent at knocking down outside jumpers. Bowen hasn't. The choice was easy to make here. If Arenas hadn't strained his groin, Jamison would have probably been cut.

And yes, Kirk Hinrich is the best perimeter defender on this team.

One more thing: LOL at anyone who still thinks Wade isn't an outside threat.

In the USA team, Bosh and Howard can play 4 and 5. However, let's see Rox' roster:
    5. Yao, Mutombo
    4. Howard, Hayes
    4&3. Battier, Novak, Bowen
    3&2. T-Mac, Snyder, Azubuike
    2&1. Spanoulis, Head, Sura
    1. Alston, Lucas

    No one can play 5&4!!!!!!
