Team USA Ready for Argentina BRISBANE, Australia -- The United States Goodwill Games Team (1-0) will play its second of three preliminary round games against Argentina (1-0), a team expected to advance to the medal round of the tournament. The contest will be aired live in the United States at 11 p.m. ET Monday on TNT. The game tips off at 1 p.m. local time on Tuesday in Australia and is carried by Nine Network. The USA and Argentina have met twice before in Goodwill Games competition, with the U.S. winning the 1994 matchup 83-71 in St. Petersburg, Russia. Argentina took the 1986 game with a 74-70 upset of the gold-medal winning team that went 9-1 overall in Madrid. The USA is coming off a record-setting 132-58 victory over Mexico in its opening game, while Argentina won its debut vs. Cuba, 105-75. Forward Walter Hermann led Argentina over Cuba with 22 points and six rebounds in 18 minutes while forward Leonardo Gutierrez added 15 points and nine rebounds. Argentina shot 67 percent from two-point range and 38 percent from three-point range. The USA will need to use its strong defense to counter the shooting attack. A victory against Argentina would mark the 50-win milestone for USA Basketball teams that have competed internationally with NBA players since the 1992 Tournament of the Americas. After playing Cuba on Tuesday night (Wednesday in Australia), the USA will have two days to prepare for the semifinals and medal round, which will take place this coming weekend. All games will be televised live in the USA on TNT.

Just found out about it. Looking forward to watching Battier and Rashard along with Szerbiak. Here's a link to the USA roster: http://www.usabasketball.com/usab/Men/01_goodwill_roster.html
Yeah the team is not bad, could of been better ( Francis, Odom or Brand) Rashard Lewis looks to be the leading man for the team right now. Hes posting good numbers. Good to see the Houstonian doing a great job representing his country.
I was watching the game against Mexico last night, as well (before they cut to Men's Volleyball ) K-Mart was impressive last night, anyone see that tip-in jam? (even though it didn't count, it looked sweet!) Hopefully they TNT won't delay it tonight mad, to make way for Law & Order or something. I've got school tomorrow.
