Roger Federer is like jordan, when it counts he just takes it up a notch. He makes you think you have a chance, but when it counts he will rip it away from you. He did it against nadal and again today.

I rarely miss a US Open final, but i'm officially sick of Fed's dominance. I respect his game of course, but i'm ready for someone to step up and truly challenge him besides Nadal in France.

I don't dislike Roger, but I like Djokovic a lot more. I was really hoping he would win.

It is not time yet for someone to beat Roger. The man is just a master.

Federer is good and I like him, but we need someone better looking like Sampras on the helm.

Women are so shallow when it comes to tennis.

We men have no problem rooting for plain Jane tennis stars like Ana Ivanovic and Maria Sharapova.

Today he really wasn't playing that well. He stepped it up with his serve when he had to and all, but overall he was playing pretty average for him. Which is still great of course.. but nothing close to the level that he was playing in the Roddick match in this tourney..

I don't know.. I just think he's a little odd. And those capris aren't helping his cause either.

I don't like him. He seems like an airhead, and I hate his shirt. The capris don't bother me for some reason. His hair annoys me too. It's just that most of the females I know like him.

Good for you for going going against the crowd.

In the year 2000, Vince Young will defeat Roger Federer in 2 straight sets at the US Open finals after it is ruled that a 3rd set would be pointless.

Federer wasn't playing like his amazing self but he wasn't horrible either. Novak had his chances to close out the 1st set and even had the 2nd set break early on and couldn't capitilize either. He showed some nervousness that he hasn't shown through most of the tourney. Being that it was his first time I think the stage was a bit too big for him tonight. he missed a lot of those crucial points on unforced errors and the rest were just roger hitting some amazing shots to deflate the young kid.

Sampras is more hairy then those geico cavemen, and losing it where it counts the most, on the head. Nadal looks like a typical surfer bum. Federer seems like he's going to get 20 slams before its all said and done.

Sampras was well known to be aloof and a jackass. So was Agassi. More of jackass, but he appeared to most fans to be fan friendly, but alot of his peers didn't like either player. But I guess ladies dig the jackass personality alot of times.

The group of men's tennis stars playing today are the most personable and fan friendly there has ever been. I can honestly say almost every player in the top 10 is well liked and admired by his peers.

To be fair, I believe that perception, even among peers, changed for Agassi towards the end of his career (last 5ish years or whatever). He realized his position, tried to be more of a role model, got big into charities, and generally tried to be better. He openly admits he made alot of mistakes the way he acted when he was younger.

But I agree, what's cool is that a lot of these guys are young and still more mature than some of the older generation was at that age. (Federer did have a bit of a temper on the court for a while, but I think he lost it)
