Anyone ever done this before? I'm thinking about doing this. Right now the jobs available is updating the mailing list.

I guess the only thing I'm concerned about is being sent to some dangerous\ghetto neighborhood?

Better snag it while you can. I have a buddy who works for Census and he says they have more people applying than they'll need. According to him, the economy has given them the chance to get a large well-educated workforce for the first time in several censuses (censi?).

I worked during the 1989/90 census. I was out of a library in South Houston for 2 weeks. Most of it was fairly simple, just helping people fill out the forms of basic questions. The problem back then was that there was no box to check Hispanic/Mexican American so I had to constantly write it in the blank space for many of the people. There can be lots of down time depending on where they put you.
