Engineer Zhu Jinfu told the seminar he had been drinking his own urine since he was 13 and had lived a healthy life for the last 58 years, Xinhua said. ummmmm...color me ethnocentric....but I'm really glad my culture doesn't encourage (at least in numbers as large as the chinese) the consumption of my own urine. I'll stick with unhealthy American fast food and die happy. I'm all of a sudden much more scared of China now. ------------------

I wonder how much water they drink? When you drink a lot of water / hot water (chinese tea etc)...or beer...your piss is pretty clean... If, they are like me and drink 10 coffees a day...then they have a serious problem if they have to drink that back! ------------------

Most Asians who practice this don't drink alcohol or artificial caffeine (green tea has naturally occurring caffeine). Most don't ingest sugar either. LOL! I know it sounds wierd but this isn't exactly new stuff. It has been going on for thousands of years. There is nothing inherently impure in urine unless what you take in is impure. The body only puts out what you put in it.
