Hi As some of you know, I am an Australian. A mate of mine will be in New York City next monday. He needs to be able to find a store / shop that sells Playstation 2 games. He is after a game called NCAA FOOTBALL 2003 (EA Sports) that was not released down here in Australia. He's buying this as a gift for his son for Christmas. He knows very little about games etc...so I need to know, as simply as possible, where he should look in New York. He'll only have a short time there. Is there an easy, well known shop that he can just tell a taxi driver "take me to..." etc? Thanks for any advice...very much appreicated...and guaranteed to earn anyone a beer if they ever venture down under!
You know... I live in the US, but my father is Australian, and I've taken 2 separate month-long trips there. But when I tried to buy games in Australia, I found that something about the different power sources we use won't allow you to play American games in Australia, or play Australian games in the US. Maybe you can get an adapter... I don't know. But I tried to buy an Australian football game ("footy" to the natives) and was told that it wouldn't work back home. That may be a problem for you.
The Wiz??? I thought that was a madeup character for a madeup store on "Seinfeld". I had no idea it really existed!
Yes...if the machine is not modified. His machine is modified...he played the 2002 version without problems + NBA games etc. Thanks for the help though
Im the Wiz and nobody beats me! I cant believe thats a real store. Is that really the same place or is it just a coincdence?
For two reasons. One is regional lockout, and another is the different TV standards our countries use. Australia and Europe have the PAL standard. US and Japan use NTSC.
