I ordered a Lenovo laptop about a week ago... When I went to track it at UPS.com, it shows this.... Location Date Local Time Activity LOUISVILLE, KY, US 09/07/2006 12:02 A.M. I called them... all they did was read the tracking information out loud to me. So helpful I looked this up in some other forums... someone else who orderd a Lenovo laptop actually had it stuck in KY for 3 weeks. I hope the same doesn't happen to me.
Of course. It's been proven that you can dig holes to China. Where do you think all that NASA money from the fake moon landings went to?
I had a digital camera that was shipped UPS ground come up missing at DFW (Dallas) and it never got to Houston. The only thing was it stopped scanning once it got there. So your computer is probably not stolen since it's being scanned each day. Looks like UPS is redefining the slow boat to (from) China.
It looks like it has not cleared customs yet, and they have to wait on the good ole US government to give it the OK before they ship it off to you. DD
Well, the package might be moving to various locations in KY and since it is ground, the package will go to the closest UPS hub, then to you. Also, if the box opened and its contents fell out and are missing, or is damaged, they will hold it and contact the shipper, who in turn I imagine will contact you. A box will not just sit at one hub for more than just overnight with the exception of the two mishandles previously discussed. Tim (And Yes, I work for UPS)
my thoughts exactly. Not to rub it in, but I actually got 3 day shipping from china. Left on August 29, got there Sept 1. Good old fed-ex. It was free too.
Now it says this: LOUISVILLE, KY, US 09/07/2006 3:25 P.M. BROKERAGE RELEASED SHIPMENT. SHIPMENT IS SUBMITTED TO CLEARING AGENCY FOR FURTHER CLEARANCE How much @#$@# does it have to clear?

dont worry about it, imports take long time like that. i remebered i shipped a ti 83 once USPS priority, took them a month to deliver it. it was in USA too..and i hope lenovo used a good box cuz at UPS its a throwing contest.
I don't mean to make fun of your situation man, but I just imagined your package by itself on a circular conveyor belt being scanned every few hours as it just keeps going in circles. LOL. I'm sure you'll get it... but I agree, this is silly.
I remember when I loaded trucks for RPS, I saw some of the stuff packages go through. Wow. It was a throwing/flinging contest there, too.
The thing about getting stuff imported is that it takes a long time because It has to go through customs and that is why the shipping takes forever. Just think about all the stuff that gets imported here and has to go through customs. Its a whole bunch of packages.
