most of the people here are pretty up and down. you either love the team, or you hate them , or to be exact, certain players. but this needs to be kept in mind.

all those things we discussed at the beginning of this season still applies:
this is still a young team, they really have not played together for very long, they are trying to apply a new offense, they have a new center that, while fantastic, will have ups and down. all this is not new, and is obviose after these back to back loses.

now, yes, there has been ALOT of enthusiasm, and excitement after some very promising wins, but these things have always still applied. hell, the delusions of granduer have been wild. predictions of the finals and even winning championships directly lead to the big letdowns that come when reality sets in, as it always will. realistically this rockets team is a 7 or 8 seed, still a HUGE improvment from last year.

remember the mavericks have only been in the playoffs maybe 2 years? this team will come together, fast, and it will be awsome, but PLEASE HAVE SOME F*CKING PERSPECTIVE!!!! a team will lose, they will have bad games, and they will play back at their normal level. the level that we talked about before, on the rise, but not there yet.

I agree with most of that stuff, but we will not be a 7 or 8 at the end of this season. We were that good last year and were screwed by injuries. Probably second best in the Midwest, about a 3 or 4 seed. I think that as this team continues to improve, which they will do throughout the year, this won't seem so outrageous to some of you. I will be happy with a good appearance in the second round, and not surprised if we go to the Conference Finals.

    Good post Gram!!

I agree with most of your points. I think you are right about high expectations and disappointment.

This team is still trying to dicover their identity. They will, and I think they could be as high as a 6th seed. My hope is they do respectable in the playoffs. The high expectaion would probably be to get past the 1st round. I hope they can, but will try to stay realistic.

We have to get to the playoffs 1st.

i dunno, i may just be cautiously optimistic, but 7th seed in a tough western conference does not seem like a step back.

we shall see, but the point remains the same, we all need to just chill!

i wil be very happy if the rockets get to the play-offs i do not care how high they end. The rockets are young and very talented, they are a team for the future. They wil not be champions this year, they wil make the play offs. so give them a break. i can't understand that people think we wil be champion. they are to young. i wil be very pleased if the rockets do like the mavs did a couple of years ago, made the play offs and won one round i think they beat UTAH. if the rockets make second round i'm very pleased, even if they make the play-offs i'm contend.and they will, i like the team alot

i tell you what, not alot of people here are keeping any perspective. think about the setbacks we have had over the past 3 years, and where we are now, we are on the verge, man. it is close, and yes it is upsetting to be so close, but facts are facts, we are not there yet!!

give it a few more years with no major catastrophies to our main guns and we are there!

    c'mon yall, CHILL!!!

I hate to break up this bubbly love fest, but a 3-4 seed is completely out of the question. Once defenses figure out how to hold Ming, he'll start to struggle. Then, that will force our guards to make more mistakes and cause them to isolate more often, throwing the whole offense out of sync, meaning we're in the lottery...AGAIN!

    write it down...

I love gram! crackers thrown at me as I'm looking for a morsel of good Rockets food for thought. Whereas, train's can scare me. As predictable as they are supposed to be...being on a rail...they can still baffle you. Some times you want them and you even want to ride the A-train, sometimes the A-train is a nightly event at home, but sometimes it is scarey. Either way, everyone likes gram! crackers thrown at them....

    with ice cream

    yeah!!

hmm, i believe i see a trend in your prognostications....

    BE COOL!!!!

All of us true ROXS fans should take it easy! This ROXS team at times I know, is up and down, but they are a young team and still learning how to play together! Please show some support, It just take time. :) I like the way Yao Ming is steadily improving game-by=game, and I believe this guy will give us the best chance since "DREAM" to take us to the top!!!:) We FANS should be very happy about this 'cuz great centers doesn't come that often!!;) GO ROCKETS!!!!!!!
