Last time I saw the Rockets play Seattle, I was fortunate enough to get lower-level seating. I was just 20 rows away from the court. That was fun.
This time though, I will not be able to afford lower-level seating. So, I am wondering if it is even worth going. Since most arenas are built the same way, I was wondering if upper level seating is worth the money. I could spend 40 bucks to get a seat 6 rows up in the second level, or I could pay nothing, and enjoy a great view of the game on NBA league pass. So, is it worth it? Are upper level seats any good? Is it easy to tell what is happening in the game? I don't want to spend 40 bucks just to watch the game on the video screen in the arena. So, what is the view like?

The hallmark of a professional troll. A nice positive post about attending Rocket game with a couple of nice Turn hooks.

The view from the upper prom at the Summit is fantastic. Best upper prom view in the league. My seats are row L in the center upper prom. The game looks bigger from those seats than it does on my TV.

All of the Summit upper prom seats' views are FANTASTIC. The ones behind the backboards aren't so hot, but they're cheap.

"I am wondering if it is even worth going" It is!

"I was wondering if upper level seating is worth the money" You get what you pay for...

"So, is it worth it? Are upper level seats any good?" Sure, I'm happy where ever I sit when I go to a Rockets game!

"Is it easy to tell what is happening in the game?" Sure, if you're watching the game! I used to take an AM radio and listen to Gene & Jim.

"So, what is the view like?" Pretty much like down below except higher up! Actually, it's really not bad. It's not the lower prom, but hey, you're at a game! Enjoy it, just go and soak it all up. Have fun!
    Go Rockets!

The views from the Compaq upper prom have long been promoted as the best in the NBA. But the CC is also one of the smallest arenas, so it stands to reason you would get a good view there.

BTW, jammie, since you got onto me about not going to a game, I want to let you know I'll be there Tuesday night. One caveat, however....I'll be a corporate suit stand-in: My sister's boss is giving me his tickets, seven rows up from the Rocket bench. Should I sit on my hands and conform, or scream my head off to liven the suits up?

No need to be rude, Jamcracker. I don't want to throw away money, just to watch the game on the big screen. It isn't worth going if I can't see anything. Can I say or ask anything without being labeled a troll?

What more do you want? I promise I will tone it down. Please just stick to the topic. If you want to keep discussing Turn, go to the propper thread.

I'm with you ZRB -- I don't want to pay a bunch of money to get stuck in crummy seats -- I wish the Rockets had the thing like the Astros do, where you can get the stadium view from every section online.

I'm looking to get some of the $13 tickets for later this week (if I can get some) -- anyone know -- how is the view?

I'll be at the game too. Section 111, I'm going to the next 3 home games. Should be sweet.

Liven em up! I've squatted more than once in the section to which you're referring for the whole second half. I shout and shout and I've never gotten a dirty look or a rude comment. The suits like noise. Once in a great while, you might even get a suit to shout DE-FENSE.

The $13 seats are great. You are really close to the action. Best value of any seat in the Summit. I have a buddy with $13 seats, I've sat in them a few times, and I've never complained.

But, if you want better seats and you're willing to work, just buy $13's and move down. It's no trouble to move into better upper prom seats and only a little trouble to move into better lower prom seats.

If you convince your parents to by you seats in floor section (in charlotte) it is awesome to screem and make a total @$$ of yourself in the middle of all of the suits who are fans of the home team. It was really fun.

And everybody looked at me like I was an idiot. [IMG]

Listen to jamcracker. We all know the Summit doesn't fill up. Check out the view where your seats are; you might find that it is just fine. If you want better seats, move down after the first quarter, or at halftime. Basketball is fun to watch on TV, but its that much better in person.

I have $13 season tickets, and while the view from there is good, I haven't sat there yet this year. At the VERY LEAST you can move down to nearthe front of the section and get a fantastic view.

I would rather watch from the back row than on TV. There is no substiture for being there live.
