*22 years old *7-1 *7-9 wingspan *262 lbs (Has worked on getting bigger compared to when he was drafted at 215) *Fantastic shot blocker *Could develop a legitmate NBA 3-pointer. Has Lamarcus Aldridge esque shooting potential. 12/34=35% from 3 in limited minutes last year. He is absolutely a guy that needs more development, but I have always liked what I have seen when he steps on the floor. Not that it matters, but he completely dominated the DLeague when he was down there. 22.4, 11.6 and 4.8 blocks per 40... I know we have a lot of "development players" at the moment, but I would love to see us take a long look at him when the smoke clears.
I posted something about him earlier. Physically he looks like a beast, and all the draft reports talked about how he was built perfectly to be a basketball stud. I wouldn't mind grabbing another project, seems better then thabust but I've never watched him play :/

The video seems to be nothing but dunks and weakside blocks. Why is there no video of Ajinca passing? Seriously, I'm all for running as many projects at center as we can fit in the roster. We need something to pay off. And, dominating D-League is something Thabeet hasn't been able to do, so he seems as least as good a gamble.
I saw him in a Mavericks game for a few minutes and he seemed to have a lot of upside. Don't know anything else about him.
His 1st two seasons were under Larry Brown .. So he was doomed to fail But I wouldnt mind giving him a chance to compete for a roster spot I saw him play for the Mavs for like two games he was great with weakside defense
Well, if he has range that's at least a skill, right? Couple that with the shot blocking element, sounds like he's already better than Thabeet (not like that's saying much but still). Is anybody familiar with this guy? How are his instincts and work ethic? When dealing with projects that's what really concerns me.
Not real familiar. Just watched film of him. The thing that I suspect is turning off NBA types is his way laid-back personality. He's a quite personality, more docile than Yao. That can be taken as a lack of aggression and indeed that's the case a lot of the time. But he deserves a chance to see minutes somewhere. I think he's better than Thabeet. For what that's worth. I'd love to pick him up on a minimum contract deal for 3 years.
I saw him a couple of time when he was still playing with Dallas. Positive: Great size in terms of length(7'8.75) and height (7'1), very good mobility and coordination for someone that size, and a good developing mid range jump shot. Defensively he can alter shots by just putting his arms up, and can be one hell of a weak side shot blocker. Negative: He makes Jordan Hill and Hasheem Thabeet look like body builders. Still hasn't put on much weight despite being in the league for 3 yrs. He also gets back down very easily and lacks aggressiveness. With that said I wouldn't mind picking him up this summer. He could be had very cheap.
