...is due out any second, minute or day now. I need a drool cup. Sorry, but Battlefield 1942 will be a distant memory for me once this is released.

You know I will be killing you in there this weekend! :)

I used to play the first Unreal Tournament all the time when it first came out.

Two entirely different types of mayhem in my opinion. They both satisfy my lust for violence in their own ways ;). Unfortunately, I'm waiting on the Xbox Live and Unreal Championship. I may give the demo a try if my PC can handle it.

This Fall is turning into a gamer's wet dream. I also heard Mafia was da bomb. I may have to check that PC game out as well.

SWEET! We used to have a LAN party setup at my old job where we would play UT all day long (only on slow work days, of course!)... it was the greatest game! I can't wait to take some of you on... this, along with college football and pro football, will make my weekend! :D

I have a server that I will be uploading this to - if they're putting out a server-only edition with the demo, that is. If they are, I'll let you guys know where it's at.

I still play CTF-Face a lot...I don't know why. I've still never quite mastered the transporter but that's ok.

My name I'm currently using is:

===Urine|Sample=== I play the Dallas Face server most of the time.

I have played UT since it came out..mostly instagib.
I was really looking forward to this game but now I'm very disappointed in it.

The graphics are nice but it just doesn't seem like UT anymore.. The game play sucks ..seems quake like :(

This is a pretty fast connection to download from. I'm capped at 1.5 Mbits/sec and I'm d/l'ing at the capped speed. Of course it's 2:30 am, so that may have something to do with it, too... :)

It is not nearly as good as Battlefield 1942.

It looks good, but is not as fun.

The vehicles in Battlefield are what make that game so sweet, especially in comparison to MOHAA.

I need to play the real version of UT2003 before I make any final judgements.

unreal://198.63.225.175:8888 (called CC.net BR Test in server browser)

no password. 5v5 Bombing Run, courtesy of yours truly. T1 connection out of Chicago.

I still like UT better than this one though :\

Cool, you play instagib too! Yeah, instagib is like the rail gun of quake now...it just takes some time to get used to thats all...What was your handle and what server you used to play on?

The bombing run seems really cool!

One thing I like about the new version: the shock rifle is easier to use.

Gosh, I just finished with the MOST AWESOME GAME OF BOMBING RUN EVER!!!

I came in about 5 minutes after the game had started, and we (blue) were down 14 to 0. Instagib, low gravity. After about 5 more minutes of struggle, we were down 24 to 0, and we were ready to die. Over the next 25 minutes, it was an unbelievable battle, we scored, scored again, scored again, and then they scored 3, making it 27 to 24. The last score must've been 6 solid minutes of "field position". We kept it in red's arena, but just couldn't punch it in. Finally, I come in, guns blazing. A teammate gets the ball, I frag the guy behind him. He runs it into the goal area, me right behind. Then I jump, turn around and nail the guy waiting and just about to fire at my teammate from inside the door(high point guy). If my teammate would've died, we'd have lost our opportunity to score, and they were gaining momentum. After my frag, my teammate scores, 31-27 we win, an unbelievable comeback!!! It was awesome!!

I've always hated the Unreal engine's game physics. I hate the weapons in the Unreal games. I hate Unreal Tournament deathmatch and CTF. BUT I LOVE BOMBING RUN!!! It is so awesome!!! Since Tuesday I haven't played anything else. The CC.net server is awesome, but I haven't seen any cc.net people there (or at least not that I know of). Anyone else playing there? My handle is "Sigemund"

Anyone else have any great bombing run stories?

Vengeance - So you bought the game just for the one scenario?

I don't think any FPS will ever compare to Halo.
