This team just isn't focused with everything that has happened at home. I can't blame them. It looks like it isn't going to happen for us this year.

Three and a half extra hours on a plane after having to deal with ****tard Cubs' fans probably doesn't help either.

We're only 2.5 games out with 13 games left to play. I'm not giving up yet.

Me neither...coming back and getting this game would be a HUGE shot in the arm for the team.

The travel, and the giving up of a home game I get. Maybe even dealing with fans *during* a game. Maybe.

But I certainly hope a bunch of professionals aren't slumping over having to deal with opposing fans.

If they're distracted, it's because of Ike, concern for families and property, and perhaps two unfortunately timed days off (no one likes to break during a hot streak).

As of right now, everybody in the WC chase is losing or has lost (Astros).

Mike Cameron just hit into a triple play to keep the Cubs up 3-0.

The Astros woke up early in a hurricane-ravaged city on Sunday morning, traveled half the day Sunday to play a night game, then played an early afternoon game the next day, then had to travel several hours down to southern Florida on Monday night for this series.

My point? They are still fatigued. They probably weren't as dominant as they appeared during the 14-1 stretch but they aren't this bad either. They will likely rebound tomorrow.

    Brandon Crappy vs. R. Nolasco

I'll take the 4th inning for the Backe homerun pool.
