just got back from seeing this movie. it frickin rocks!!!! The best movie Jet Li has been in since he got here. it cant compete with some of his Hong Kong movies, which were simply masterpieces, but Unleashed is his best american film yet. It allowed Jet Li to show his acting skills instead of him just kickin the crap out of everybody.

it blended drama and action together which i thought was not gonna work, but thank god i was wrong. Go see this movie.

MSNBC review said it was cool hyperviolent movie marketed wrong. One of the reviewers was turned off by some supposedly homoerotic moments, but it's different than Jet Li's usual "I'm in a movie paired with a HipHop artist/director, routine.

homoerotic moments??? i dont remember anything in the movie that was homoerotic, except for the guys in the s&m outfits that Jet Li woops.
anyway it is his best american film so far thank god Jet dunked that fat no good hack Joel Silver. the guy was ruining Li's career wit those stupid hiphop kung fu movies with the rappers.

His last film with DMX sucked, mainly because of DMX. u think that he was the star instead of Jet.

I haven't seen unleashed yet, but my favorite Jet Li role in an American movie to date is still Lethal Weapon 4. I think he could have a kickass future playing the bad guy roles if he really embraced that. I know a lot of his fans overseas would hate that, though.

I agree. I saw this yesterday and loved it! It's not anywhere as much action as advertised but, what action that is in it, is awesome!

Don't go into the theater expecting just some martial-arts, kick ass, action movie with little plot. This movie has drama, heart and you really feel for Li's character.

I've become a Jet Li fan since "Romeo Must Die", but this movie by far is his best.

It did okay in sales - 10 million in only 2,000 theatres. But it will get slaughtered at the box office next week with star wars coming out.

honestly, it was good for a friday night movie, but its not all that great. Li's acting was rather good for an American movie he's in, but Morgan Freeman definately helped a lot in that. The action scenes were ass kicking but I do think that the drama is over done, I mean comon, you mainly want to see some guy getting ass whipped right?

I thought the soundtrack was pretty cool. Nice change from all the hip hop that he had in his other movies. My g/f liked the movie. She actually cried through most of the parts. Action scenes were real raw. None of the over exaggerated use of the strings and wires like in his recent movies. I know the original title of the movie was named Danny the Dog. I couldn't help but feel bad for my dog afterwards. I haven't always been the most nurturing master hehehe.
