For those that started Atkins a few weeks ago, share your favorite or a unique Atkins recipe that we can make at home. I'll start. I call it "Pizza in a Pan" You will need three fresh italian sausage links, a 5 oz package of pepperoni, 1/2 white onion, shredded mozzerela, and some spaghetti sauce. I grabbed a can of Del Monte meat flavored that we had in the cubbard for the kids. I'm sure there are lower carb spaghetti sauces out there like Ragu carb options garden sauce. Everything should be available at HEB. 3 Italian Sausage Links--0 carbs 5 oz pepperoni--0 carbs 1/2 white onion--4 carbs Shredded mozzerela--1 carb per 1/4 cup Del Monte Spaghetti Sauce--14 carbs per 1/4 cup Parmessan chees topping--0 carbs {optional} 1/2 cup portabello mushrooms 1 1/2 carbs Fry up the sausage. Dice the pepperoni and fry with the sausage. Slice the onion and throw in with suasage and pepperoni. Drain. Mix in 1/4 cup spaghetti sauce, stir. Turn heat to low. Top w/ mozzerella and cover pan. After chees is melted, enjoy. Makes 2-3 servings.
My favorite Atkins recipe is a big plate of pasta with sides of potatoes and garlic bread. Cake or beignets for dessert. Screw Atkins. I'll find a better diet somewhere. (seriously, hope you find the recipes you're looking for...)
I believe this is the Anti-Atkins diet, it is called the Carb-Overloader. It is not a well balanced diet, but it sure tastes good.
but think about all the healthy vibrant vegetables and plants that were killed in the making of that meal, horriffic
