Lile 99% of Rocket fans, I'm devastated by the Jazz winning. If, and it's a big if, we were at 100% physically, there's no doubt the Rockets were more talented than the Jazz. But - realistically, there was only a meager chance that we could have pulled off a series win, given that we needed a full time MASH unit to travel with the team. Had we won, we would have had to play the Lakers - without any healing time, and against a relatively injury free opponent. We might have gotten blown away, as the Jazz probably will be (for different reasons). I'd rather have the Jazz be ridiculed than our injury depleted Rockets!
The Lakers are without Bynum, so they've got their own injury issues. Are you seriously saying that you'd rather lose in the first round than suffer through the possibility of an embarassing defeat in the second? I hope that you never criticize the heart of anyone.
No offense, but stuff like this was said last year too and I think it's bunk... Losing in the 1st round is not better than losing in the 2nd/3rd...
careful who you argue with... In the Francis era, people were arguing that we were better off getting a lottery pick than making the playoffs as 8th seed(in the 45 win non-playoff year). People make no sense...
