I'm sick of losing and being associated with mediocrity. Anyone else in favor with an identity change (colors and perhaps logo, not name) after the season to go along with our new coach and possible franchise quarterback? I'd love to see a change made. I can't associate our current look and colors with anything other than mediocrity and losing.
I'm in favor of shipping their asses off to Los Angeles and taking our chances with getting a new franchise at some point.
Least of our worries. BUt if we really need to change it up, I'm cool with the logo, and colors. They need to tweak the jerseys though.
Just buy the Oilers name and history back. The Texans have a beautiful brand, but its just too associated with losing.
Why? The logo is awesom, stands alone, and we have the flag's colors. What else is going to represent a Texan? Jerseys dont look outdated either. Winning will solve everything, it's not like they've been in existence for 40 years.
Yeah you're probably right, it is a really nice brand. I think even if we were winning, i'd like to see a few minor changes. I don't think the shoulder loop coming to points and the pants vertical stripe match very well. Either make both come to a point or make both straight lines. I also hate overuse of navy. I think its a very boring color on it's own. I'd like to see red become the primary home jersey color with blue numbers instead of white and then white pants and blue socks. Alternate home with blue pants. If i had it my way, away would be all liberty white with blue socks, alternate blue pants with red socks. Like i said, as is, too much navy in our brand.
Well that's the thing. It would all depend on if if the t*** were ready for a rebrand and abandoning the 2 shaded blue look. I believe the rumor is they are getting a rebrand soon. That's where the perfect opportunity arises for Bob to buy the Oilers name and history and colors and then we brand to Oilers colors+navy and keep the Texans name. But i suppose it is weird since were supposed to be colored like the Texas flag so it wouldn't make sense. I guess changing the name back to Oilers would be best.
I'd love to see something like the stripes on the sleeves taken away, possibly the collar taken away, maybe somehow have the flag incorporated into the sleeves. I know that sounds weird. Some kind of smallish change though.
That's ok. It would be similar to Cincinnati and cleveland both sharing orange. It points to their shared history. We may as well do the same with tennessee. We have the same sorry ass history with the titans as our lame Ohio brethren
Unfortunately. this is true, and I wish everyone would get off the let's go with the championship logo **** with the Rockets. What championships did the Oilers win? No, that league doesn't exist anymore. It got absorbed. Get rid of the collar, get rid of the shoulder stripe thing for starters.
