since I recently got my off-campus privilege (the ability to leave school to get lunch), I've been going to McDonald's and getting 3 dollar-menu double cheeseburgers and a small drink.. the total is $4.33, which is a hell of a good deal compared to the rip off for a Big Mac.. 1 dollar-menu cheeseburger has the same amount of meat as a bigmac, same bun size, but big mac has all the extra stuff (which I don't really care about).. everybody has been going crazy with the "unhealthy" food stuff, and I perfectly acknowledge.. but I am trying to bulk up at this point because I am waaay underweight (128 pounds, 5'7) .. but I am planning on improving my eating habit while at the same time keeping up my protein intake (for my weight lifting).. so, is anyone else a dollar menu-naire?
I'm the same weight and size...no matter what I eat (and I eat a lot of fast food junk) I've stayed the same for 10+ years (I'm 28 now). My blood presure chlorestoral are great too.
I enjoy fast food, but McDonald's has got to have the most disgusting food on the planet. I mean seriously, the meat doesn't even taste like meat. I'm not sure it even is.
dang it, this actually got my spirits up a bit.. but hey, I've really improved .. I was 115 around this time last year.. and I've been pumping iron for a while now, except I never pulled a streak longer than one and a half month.. every time I go on a streak, I either get a headache that keeps me from going to the gym or I have a big test the next day that eliminates my chances of lifting.. and of course, once I skip one day, I get the notion of "starting over again properly" and I skip a couple of weeks until I clear everything out to "have a big streak this time" ... needless to say, it hasn't happened yet..
come on now, I know for a fact that Cannonball isn't the only Pointforward on this board! be honest guys..
I don't usually eat fast food, but I broke down after a night of drinking and had the munchies...Couldn't help myself...I had 2 double cheeseburgers...mmmm...
I didn't really gain much and I'm still in college but I've discovered that I'm growing a belly from eating junk food.. and I don't even drink.
You probably think you eat a lot when you probably aren't. Track your calories on fitday.com. Take in 2800-3000 calories with adequate protein and lift weights and you WILL gain weight. Worked for me.
I'm a health freak, but wasn't always. It appears that you are still in high school. You can pretty much eat whatever you want in high school and get away with it. I wouldn't worry too much about it unless of course you form a habit of consistent unhealthy eating well past college.
Really.. that movie made me want to go eat there. Did you see how much he enjoyed the big mac on that first day. That's what I remember about the movie.
Listen to it. I ran cross country and track and field for all 4 years of high school at 5'7 127lbs. It's senior year of college now and I'm 5'8 145lb. Your metabolism just slows down.
Don't listen to these gibberish. Eat as much junk food as you want and don't worry about your weight, because when you're 40, you can get a bowflex and be in the best physical state of your life.
Dude: Not to portray the French, but listen to both them and Jimmy Kimmel. There is a thing to the "quit eating so damn much" diet.
I used to eat off the Jack in the box $.99 menu all the time back in high school. 2 Tacos, chicken sandwich, Jumbo Jack, and water for $3.22. I don't eat fast food nearly as much. But when I do, I mainly order off the dollar menu. This is mainly because I don't care for fries nor the soda. So the difference in price between a dollar menu item vs. a regular priced burger is huge. And I'm cheap.
