You didn't get under my skin at all. It's a fact that Harden's legacy is closer to McGrady's than Olajuwon's.

Houston Championships is what we care about. Harden can't lace Dream's shoes.

Ask David Robinson if Dream's offense was average to above average after being the MVP and being DOMINATED by Dream. While your at it, ask Shaq and Ewing as well.

You're just talking about points, but aren't taking pace, who's shooting 3's, who's shooting more attempts etc

Harden isn't in the same breath as Dream.

When Dream retired, he was top ten in Points, Rebounds, Blocks, and Steals ALL TIME.

One thing that's being overlooked, is the fact that Hakeem CONSTANTLY faced off against other HALL OF FAME caliber players. And yet he still DOMINATED. In our 1st championship season, he dominated Clyde's Blazers, then Barkley's Suns, Stockton and Malone, then Knocked off Ewing's Knicks.

The next season, he dominated Malone, Stockton, and Barkley, then famously DESTROYED the Admiral, and then Shaq. Until we see James Harden DESTROY and DOMINATE other Hall of Famers, let alone in the playoffs, I don't think there's really a comparison.

Short of JJ Watt winning a Super Bowl (with the Texans), Hakeem has cemented himself as the greatest Rocket ever....IMO James has a lot of work to do to get there...

You’re right about that bro. Ridiculous talking about Lavert and Dinwiddie as something to base a Harden trade around. Just wow

Are you even a Rocket fan if you have to denigrate the greatest Rocket of all time in Olajuwon just to make Harden look good?

Look at Dwight Howard's playoff numbers. Dwight had injury issues in the regular season but played like a top 5 center in the playoffs.

Westbrook was easily his worst running mate at least in the playoffs.

You aren't going to be posting on this message board anymore once Harden leaves or retires from Houston huh?

Its like Nick is thinking the same thing as me.

also just because he would go somewhere else that doesnt mean that team will win a championship.. and if he whens with a super team it would be less valued just like kd with the warriors...

He had one really stand out playoff year and that was it. He was not a top 10 player on the Rockets, and certainly not what he was in the Orlando days. He was really good for that one playoff run. But that's it. Other than that one, it has been Harden hard carrying in the regular season and in the playoffs. And then Dwight declined heavily in 2015 and went through like 6 different teams. Lets not bring up Dwight Howard. We did not need him when he left and neither did the other teams he went to.

    That is true.

I would disagree, just because he would leave doesn't guaranteed a ring. Plus he can leave and demand a trade but why lower your trade value, if you're a real hooper like he says he is you want to compete and win no matter what and at least show up to practice. Those historic Bulls hated their gm, Dennis partied, MJ gambled all night but they still balled.

He had two really good playoff runs. In the WCF trip he averaged 16 pts and 14 rbs. That's top 5 center level play.

He outperformed Harden against the Blazers. He was overall really good in the playoffs for the Rockets.

i disagree with shannon the front office has done so much for james. they make one move to make it appear they are all in, then another to duck the tax. and they didnt trade clint for james benefit, it was for the tax benefit.

if i was brooklyn i would strongly consider a kyrie for james swap. they wont because he and KD are close friends but with his injury history lately, and you could keep all those other guys like dinwiddie, levert, harris, prince, jeff green, allen.... thats a damn good squad I would pick to come out of the east if KD stays healthy. kyrie and james would for sure bump heads in the locker room anyway. id dump kyrie just like ainge dumped IT for him.

Dwight shot on a 54 TS% that year. He was not a top 10 player. Harden was by far the best player in that playoffs. And we were up against Curry, Klay and Draymond. He was not enough help for Harden.

That was his only playoffs where he outperformed Harden yes.

And after 2014, he was not good. And neither was any of the other teams he went too. His production was easily replaced by Clint Capela.

Also the comparison to Tom Brady is ridiculous... Brady has a lot of rings.... he has set his legacy already...
