I live in Pasadena and am looking for a place to get my truck detailed under the hood. I want to take it to a place where they really know what they are doing. I would prefer a place south of the 610 loop. If anyone has any recommendations please let me know.

    Thanks...

you don't want to do it yourself. Just don't use armor all. Use something like 303 instead.

Go to an auto forum and see how they do it. I have run into threads about this before.

Go to the car wash and spray engine cleaner thoroughly [simple green] all over the engine let it sit for a bit then blast it off with the high-pressure rinse.

Stay away from the distributor cap and don't spray the high pressure water directly on the spark plugs [sometimes it can seep past the rubber seal] and your engine is detailed.

I've done this a thousand times without incident.

If you do get a little water in the distributor cap just take it off and dry it out. Of all the times i've done this i've never got water into the distributor.

I would highly recommend R & R Supershine in Pearland. Those guys are meticulous. They are a little pricey, but I have yet to find anyone that comes close to them in terms of quality.

Would you happen to have an address or telephone number for them?
