Let me preface this by saying this is not meant to be a bash or disrespectful question, but I was really curious. Why is 15+% of the nation listed under the category of undecided or swing voters? What in 60 days or so would make you decide one way or another? The reason I ask, is because: 1. You know who are the two main candidates, with Nader as a third option. 2. For the most part, you know where they stand on the different issues like national security, economy, education, health care, and so on. 3. You know what their record is, which will better help define their true positions - especially as it relates to political decisions. 4. You have a pretty good idea on their values and character, especially in regards to family, religion and others. I am missing some points (as it is getting late), but overall I think you understand what I am asking. Afterall it does not feel like speeches they make, one way or another, could make much a difference, because they spend the time saying what you want to here (for the most part) and the other time is spent downplaying their opponent (whether what they say is factual or not). So in a nutshell, as I am not trying in any way to be critical or disrespectful, but why are people still undecided? Are they waiting just to hear what they say at the debate? Or is it just a question of not sure which side of the issues they agree most with, which ones are most important, or that they are divided easily between the left and right? I would be very interest to hear from someone who really is.... Thanks!!! (I apologize for the lousy grammar, but like I said it is late)
Deciding if this is the year I should vote for a 4th candidate or stick it out with the Republicans.......
I'm undecided because both canidates suck. This year more than any in the past the debates will help me determine who gets my vote. I want to hear the lies and promises straight from their own mouths then I'll decided who to vote for. You are right about knowing the canidates, their positions on the issues, and their records in the past. Neither even comes close to being a canidate I could "support" so as always I'm faced with a decision that I consider the lesser of 2 evils and I haven't decided which evil is lesser at the point.
i'm undecided because: 1. i have varied concerns...while i'm in favor of working towards some health insurance reforms, i'm also pro-life. i'm balancing interests. 2. i don't like either of these guys 3. if i haven't decided, i can always write in smarty jones...the safest choice of all 4. my wife and i are praying she'll be in labor with our second child on election day so we have a valid excuse to not vote
Smarty Jones would be a wasted vote on a washed up candidate. He is a has been who couldn't even win when he was heavily favored and is now an actual prostitute. I would rather see Mr. Ed in the White House than Smarty Jones. At least he can speak English intelligibly.
how can you not plug, Smarty, andy? unless of course you don't give a damn about one of the finest of American sports...thoroughbred horseracing.
1. what's more relevant to your life now. your family's health insurance or other people's abortions? 2. who do you dislike less? 3. can you write in votes with e-slate? 4. um early voting goes from Oct 18 to Oct 29
1. you view it as other people abortions...i view it as something far different. 2. not sure 3. i'm sure you can still write in somewhere 4. la lal a la la la...i can't hear you!!! i am not listening to outlaw...la la la la la....i can't hear you. (come on, baby...daddy needs an election day delivery!!! )
Congrats in advance. And dude. It's your vote. I know you know that, and I trust your decision. I think we all just need to vote and see what happens. Vote. Either result, democracy wins, right?
