If it is true I think it is good. Lowry gives us are best defensive team. And AB can bring instant offense off the bench. I always thought Brooks would eventually be a great point guard off the bench. But I felt he lacked enough playmaker skill to be a legit starter. Still he is very talented and may even blossom more with a less demanding role and an ability to a scoring option while Yao is on the bench. All around a grreat decision if it is true.
I'm not sure its ever a good idea to change your lineup right as the playoffs start. Brooks is better off the bench IMO but I also get the feeling he has a fragile psyche and this could ruin him for the playoffs (if true). I also like having a 3pt shooter at PG to start, but honestly Lowry does negate that need with his aggressiveness and smart passing.
If this is true, i would expect AB to come off the bench with a lot more intensity and focus, with something to prove.
exactly what i was thinking. there's no joba chamberlain angle to this story, so no way espn reports it.
Good call. Get our offense flowing through Yao early and often. Brooks/Wafer/Landry will be a tremendous combination off the bench.
Yeah if Adelman is going to do this he should have tried this out the last few games of the regular season at least.
http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/bk/bkn/6378018.html That's what Solomon wrote yesterday. How can this even be true?
These guys are both backup point guards. If Morey does anything over the next year I hope it's get a very good point guard and not just an adequate one like Rafer was. But for now it's time to worry about the playoffs and with Adelman I don't think it matters who starts, he'll go with who's playing well.
This is really surprising, if true. Very uncharacteristic for Adelman. Especially since Portland is probably the playoff team Brooks matches up best against.
They are young though. Kyle Lowry at 22 has a TON of potential to be a starter in this league... (I think this will help build up to the Lakers, who AB REALLY struggles against)
