The first review I have seen for this game is a 9.1 from IGN and they say it is a must buy for all PS3 owners. http://ps3.ign.com/articles/834/834931p1.html
It's good to see a PS3 exclusive get a good review. I think I'll wait until the new Killzone comes out before I decide to get a PS3 or XBox 360.
The game looks really cool. I'm just thinking if it's worth a buy or a rent. Supposedly the game can be beat in around 8 hrs or so.
I've heard more like 10-14 for regular people and normal playstyle...as in, not just running straight ahead constantly without exploring anything
The review also said that the game has a lot of replay value with a lot of hidden treasures and unlockables.
I already got call of duty 4 and I am debating on getting this game or assasin's creed. Both look great but IGN only gave assasin's creed a 7.5
A couple of other places have reviews for the game (Game Informer, Gamespy, Eurogamer, 1UP/EGM, etc.). They're all pretty positive from what I can tell. Just nitpicking, but how does Uncharted get a 9.0 in graphics at IGN? Especially given some of the other games that have gotten 9s or higher. Which IGN? IGN [AU] gave AC a 8.7. *waits for IGN [UK] to give it a 6.5.* edit: Holy crap, IGN [UK] did give AC a 6.5! I was just joking around.
Haha!!!!! How do you usually feel about IGN [UK]'s reviews? I'm seriously contemplating getting this game 4 PS3.
The first I ever heard of this game was that PS3 commercial that shows all the upcomming games and I thought that looks like a game I would play.
I don't think I've even read one of their reviews yet, so I'm not really sure. I think they tend to give lower scores for games, so they might be a little "tougher" on games in that regard (a 7.0 might be a "good" game as opposed to a 8.0).
For anyone interested, I think the game actually shipped out today, and might be available in stores by tomorrow (at least in some regions). It wasn't supposed to be released until next week IIRC.
