I am kind of just posting this to see what kind of interest there would be. Not 100% sure I'm going to be selling yet... but with the way things have been going lately, it may move to a necessity soon.

My Prize collection of Hakeem Olajuwon cards would be the first and foremost thing.

I have 300+ all different Hakeem cards (no repeats, although some look very similar upon first glance) that have been sitting in a box in 9-card holder sheets for over a decade. They range from older cards (1987) right up to his stint with Toronto before retirement.

Among the collection's gems is a 98 Skybox Autographics Card, autographed by Hakeem, a couple of Finest Refractors, a few impossible to find Inserts from the higher end sets that started to become popular in the mid 90s (Finest, Flair, SPx, Bowman's Best, etc) and numerous impossible to find cards including those from various card producing companies that didn't even have official NBA licensing (Scoreboard). Even some cards that were only available by special mail order through various companies (Like Kellogs).

Now a good portion of the cards are just base set cards, probably about half the collection is of those. There are also about 20-30 high-end inserts, all valued from anywhere between 2 - 10 bucks according to the latest Beckett I have. Mostly everything else falls somewhere in between.

It was my prize possession for many years, and I have kept it through thick and thin, but at this point it may become necessary to try and get what I can for it, should the price be right.

As far as asking price, I really don't know... Beckett value on these things is tough to go by.

I have probably 20-25 "rare" cards that total value would be around $150, all the rest together is probably another $150, so I'd say rough estimate is near $300, of course I'm not expecting to get that, just something reasonable enough.

I'm not going to take time and post every single card by its classification because that would tedious.

As for the condition of the cards, I'd say the vast majority are in near-mint condition, which is about all you can expect for cards that are 15-23 years old. There are only maybe a couple cards in the collection that have any serious flaws.

Here are a few pictures... (Click to enlarge)

I don't think you're allowed to actually purchase more rep points.

I have a question and the board won't allow me to start my own thread. I just registered. Maybe that's why. I have an Hakeem jersey on ebay. Does the board allow you to link to an ebay auction if it's Rockets gear?
