SOURCES: RADIO KING LIMBAUGH JOINS ESPN-TV AS FOOTBALL COMMENTATOR

    **Exclusive**

The nation's top radio host Rush Limbaugh expands to sports TV this fall, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.

Limbaugh will join ESPN-TV in September, industry sources reveal, during NFL Sunday Countdown.

    MORE

Limbaugh will provide a two-minute essay near the top of each show and participate in discussions during the show, sources say.

Terms of the deal with ESPN/DISNEY are not known.

"I am adding to my work load, not taking anything away from it," Limbaugh assured his radio audience. "Nothing is going to change."

"Football is like life and I know life. I am a big fan of the NFL and now I get to do what every football fan would love to do. I get to take my observations from the living room couch to the ESPN studios and talk football..."

    he's a big steelers fan.

i'm betting he'll keep his politics out of his football discussion, rm95. you might find him entertaining if he does that.

I stopped watching NFL Sunday Countdown when Chris Berman stopped being a sports journalist and started acting like a buffoon. Rush Limbaugh joining this cast probably makes them better because they can't get much stupider than they already are.

Wasn't Rush a (failed) baseball announcer/commentator before going into the political stuff? Maybe his foray into political radio was just a ploy to get him back into his true love of sports.

I believe he was an assistant hack in the KC Royals office selling season tickets and coordinating PR junk.

I think your use of the word "talent" is debatable.

It will at least be interesting! He's a huge fan of the game and is quite knowledgeable about it. I just wish people would dismiss their political disagreements with him and at least give him a chance.

Well when you have an audience as big as he does you have to have some sort of talent to get it.

Between Berman & Stewie Scott, there's very little of ESPN that I can watch now. It's only a matter of time until they screw up Baseball Tonight as well.

    Booyah!!!
