It's that time again: Host Country: Germany Dates: June 14th - July 14th Venues (capacity): Berlin (74,461); Munich (70,076); Dortmund (65,849); Stuttgart (54,906); Gelsenkirchen (54,740); Frankfurt (54,697); Hamburg (52,245); Düsseldorf (51,031); Cologne (49,827); Leipzig (42,959)
Groups B and D could be real interesting. Our guys got one of the easier groups, hope Nagelsmann will fix things until June. I'll be in the Dortmund stadium for Turkey versus Portugal on June 22. Looking to add more tickets in the 2nd phase. Anyone else coming?
Looks like an "easy" group, but the way we are currently playing, and after the last two world cups, and with this apprentice coach... ...I expect nothing.
I've got family in Leipzig so I'll try to go for games there. I've never been to a big time soccer tournament, so I don't care who I get to see. I just want to be part of it.
Sounds good, you'll have a great time. Even if you don't get a ticket, the fan fests are usually worth a visit, especially in the Group stage when people from several countries are around. That of course isn't the case when Serbia will play England or potentially Turkey and Greece will face each other.
Der Countdown läuft. Time to bump this thread. Only a week until things finally start. Any predictions? I think France and England are the heavy favorites, with Austria as the dark horse (at least until the quarters or semis). Among the big names our defending champions Italy will stumble, also the Dutch could come short in Group D. Belgium appears to have an easy path to the knockouts, so this could be their golden generation's last stand.
Too bad, but I understand not making this trip just for the atmosphere. Hope you have at least a great tourney by watching from distance. Getting more excited ervery day, can't wait for Friday.
I was in Germany for the 2014 World Cup. I watched USA v Germany at the Berlin fanmeile and Germany v Algeria at a small pub in Wetzlar with some family. The Germans really know how to have a good time during these tournaments.
Group A - 1. Germany, 2. Scotland, 3. Switzerland, 4. Hungary Group B - 1. Spain, 2. Croatia, 3. Italy, 4. Albania Group C - 1. England, 2. Serbia, 3. Denmark, 4. Slovenia Group D - 1. France, 2. Netherlands, 3. Austria, 4. Poland Group E - 1. Ukraine, 2. Belgium, 3. Slovakia, 4. Romania Group F- 1. Portugal, 2. Turkey, 3. Czechia, 4. Georgia My final 4 are Germany, Portugal, England, France Final: Portugal vs England Winner: Portugal 3rd place: Germany
Some interesting takes, especially Ukraine winning their group and Scotland advancing. I have the same final four though.
In both cases, it's more based on the groups. I think Ukraine will beat Slovakia and Romania. I can see them getting a point from Belgium and tying them on points. One of Scotland or the Swiss will finish 2nd. The Swiss can be just so underwhelming at times. Either of the 2 can get through but I don't see either going any further than that anyway.
Nearly perfect start, Wirtz and Musiala will cook the coming weeks. Must've been our best tournament game at least since 2016. Still hope leroy's prediction will come true, Scotland fans have been amazing and their passion is all what these tournaments are about. Maybe that one goal will help them in the end.
I forgot how many good players we have. I wish Bayern could sell Sané and somehow get Wirtz. Wirtz and Musiala together, that's so much quality on offense.
