I don't know if it's me getting used to it but for the last 2 days I've noticed the HD quality has improved. I'm by the Reliant. Has anyone else noticed or am I just seeing things?
maybe you are just getting used to it. I've had UVerse for 3 months and have not noticed any difference in the HD quality...
My HD quality has been good the entire 8 months I have had it. One thing I have noticed is NFL Network is about twice as loud as every other channel.
I've had mine since November and then all of a sudden the last 2 days it's become more than bearable. I still see the shifting in the background IF I look very closely but it's not the shifting mess it was when I first got it. The dark scenes and blacks don't disgust me like it did before. I literally would get sick and just turn off whatever it was I was watching before when a dark scene would come up and shift-o-rama would start. I actually watched a movie last night on showtime and enjoyed it. I did recently change from HDMI to component but haven't really had a chance to watch TV since I made the switch. PS: PQ on OLDBOY for blu-ray isn't that great.
Based on the last HD thread, I just signed up for Dish Network basic HD package for $30 a month, no startup/installation fees, free HD receiver and 2 rooms included. Hope this is worth it.
Crap, I was thinking about switching from AT&T DSL Internet & Phone/TimeWarner Cable to uVerse for everything. After reading this thread and some not-so-good reviews online, I'm debating it now...
Does that include DVR(s)? How many HD channels? I have my internet and phone through Embarq and they say if I use Dish Network for my entertainment, I can bundle all 3 and (hopefully) save. Apparently, they have some kind of agreement with Dish Network.
I really have never had issues with HD quality, but then I've always used component. It seems most people who have had complaints about the quality used HDMI.
I've got Uverse here in Austin and haven't noticed any problems with the HD and love the quality. Of course, I'm new to Uverse and just got my first HDTV, so I don' t have much to compare it to.
Love my UVerse and the PQ is great! I'm out on the West Coast though. I love how quickly the channels change as well after dealing with satellite.
Anyone who has this, do you need to get their Sports Package to watch Rockets games? I didn't see FSN-SW in their basic lineup. How so? I'm thinking of switching over from Comcast, but if I don't get NBA TV anymore it will take a lot.
FSSW is part of their package so no need to get the sports package. Seems like only the home games are broadcasted in HD for the most part though.
I'll concur with him. I do miss NBATV and I hope they get it in the lineup soon, but I don't miss Comcast a single bit. When I got U-verse for the first time I felt like I had just come out of the stone age of cable TV.
I'm thinking about trying that Turbo HD package, when I move this summer. I have cable here and I hate it. Suddenlink, the same crap I had when I lived in College Station. The rockets games aren't even in HD here, but thankgod we get them. They show them on the SD fsn channel. It never says rockets on it, always spurs live or dallas stars (on the tv guide) but it's the rockets. So i'm fortunate to be getting them I guess.
