Imagine T-Mac running the floor w/ Mobely and Francis pushing up the ball. Talk about the very fast& high scoring team (assuming JVG lets them run). Just look what Francis & Mobley are doing w/ a one legged G. Hill.

Oh the guy we should have traded is Yao or T-Mac straight up.

You mean first or second round exit each year? Tmac trade was
a big gamble, but we should at least gamble for something worth
it. If we can achieve the same with the old team, why bother?

We'd be the Sonics and even worse inside, though maybe a better rebounding team, unbelievably enough.

Lets see how far a 3 guard offense gets us in the Western Conference playoffs.

    Hint: Not very far

Getting J Howard is an error. He is cursed.

Cato was traded as a filler. bad idea.

Does JVG like this trade? Skeptical.
Does Yao like this trade? Skeptical.

Biggest puzzle: CD cannot be fired anyway?

LOL. Maybe u want T-Mac running the floor w/ Mobely and Francis, but it doesnt mean T-mac had the same thought. He came to play with Yao, not Steve and cat.

I am not sure how does he think NOW.

He said he wanted play with a center who could get 15/10.

I don't think he expected Yao to be dominant as Shaq.

Well T-Mac wanted out of Orlando anyway and Yao is money maker for Alexander and the league, but all that has brought is tix prices to go up. He has yet to live up to his expectations. The novelty of a 7'5 agile Asian has worn off to me. This guy his practically eye level to the basket but fails to score in double digits consistently.

I actually like what I've seen from Yao this season. If Yao
consistently gets 20/9 ala Brand, then he's only as good as you
can get, but not enough to bring us championships. However, with as many sucky games as dominate ones, you can still hope
he could totally dominate someday. Remeber, Dream hadn't won his first ring until the 9th season. Other than '86, we were first
round exit each year. Some of blame was on Dream himself, no
    trust in his teammates.

Please don't bring up Dream when talking about Yao, they are 2 TOTALLY different players.

Also, I think the loss of Sampson was 'a little' to blame for our team's demise at that time, don't you? Losing a number one overall pick after investing so much into him can cripple a team.

 I brought Dream up just to show we could wait for
Yao to develop as long as he shows flashs of domination.
However, if Yao plateaued like Brand, then we should entertain
trades that help our team. Anything wrong to compare Yao's
development in physical game to Dream's development in team
game? We are not comparing them in playing styles, etc.

People don't understand that the Magic is doing a lot better not because SF and CM. They are doing a lot better because they got Hill back, a #2 draft pick, another first rounder, and some other supporting guys.

Don't just close your eyes and think otherwise.

I know what you mean, but Dream singlehandedly took his team to the playoffs without much help. I don't think Yao could ever do that...he might later, but I'm starting to really doubt it.

The fact that you say Dream had to develop his team play in 9 years to get his ring simply ignores the fact that the lack of Sampson (or any other good/great player) was a big obstacle he had to face...something Yao has never had.

Again 2 TOTALLY different players and different situations.

Honestly, I don't know how great Yao can be, given his lack of explosiveness, bad balance, and stamina issues. Hopefully he can develop something in his game to offset these limitations...I curious to see how he'll do it.

Of course not. JVG is the hall monitor at the moment....let them run? i don't think so...if they even try to speed walk they get in trouble.
