Tyronn Lue goiong nuts in Atlanta Averaged over 20 points and close to 5 assists for the past 5 games.
Who else do they really have that is going to shoot the ball. Walker is gone and he was taking 20+ shots a game.
The Clipper Effect. A team, no matter how terrible, is going to score 70 or so. Might as well be Lue...
Bingo. This is a perfect example of why you shouldn't get wrapped up in someone with big numbers on a lousy team. Evan
Lue is an ok player on a lousy team. Their best player is Al Harrington. The majority of NBA players could probably score 20 points a night for a short period of time if they played for a lousy team with a bunch of nobodys. Nachbar could even score some points for Atlanta. Teams are also a little relaxed against Atlanta because they come in and just expect to win. Personally I'm suprised they won this many games.
I came here for the purpose of making a thread about Lue and then there was already one. The guy is going nuts, granted he is on the Hawks.
That shows too many players can score a lot in NBA if they are allowed to shoot whenever they want. They just take away the shots from their won teammates, not from opponents. That's why I feel guys like AI,Francis etc are overrated.
Maybe - but that doesn't mean that it's not true. Putting up ok numbers in garbage time as a backup on a terrible team - I admit, it's more than I thought he was capable of and for that reason I was proven wrong. But, in the grand scheme of things, doesn't mean all that much as far as tangible accomplishments.
Lue is likely better than Jon and Bowen in a bad team; but he is definetely worse than them in a good team like rox.
