Most of his points come inside the paint sooooo he must have changed his game up then.

Young players say this all the time. They usually just mean they are tall, have good ball handling skills, and look to create for others.

How long does Evans have until he needs knee surgery and a new back?

Alot of you guys (T-Mac Haters) might not believe it but Tracy McGrady was a superstar player and ALOT of people looked up to him. I'm not suprised by Evans remarks, He's around the age when watching the NBA, Tracy Mcgrady was on top of his game. Kevin Durant said the same thing ..

yeah and will probably get to 20,000 points. and his playoff failures are not totally his fault.

i dare someone to name 100 better basketball players of all time then him. it wont happen.

It's crazy how so many of these young basketball players grew up trying to model their game after T-Mac...

Makes you realize how one of a kind player he used to be and how unique his skill set at his size really is.

I think there was a time when he was the most popular player in the game. In terms of pure talent I mean I would take it over anyone's.

Which is why Durant will never reach his potential by shoot nothing but jumpers.

Even in his prime, T-Mac had a big problem of over-relying on his jumpshot. It's sweet, smooth, and ultimately not a good shot. Evans, bless him, has thankfully not developed this habit.

So? That hasn't stopped plenty of other players from shooting them. Heck, prime T-Mac's 20ft jumper sucked ass too. Didn't mean he wasn't shooting 5-10 of them every game.

He won't be able to take all the pounding of going to the rack time in and time out. Having a good jump shot can extend a player's career. Durant does go to the basket as well.

Ok, mayb Mac was a piece of shet for Houston in the past 2 years. But the hate has gone overboard. I really see nothing wrong with players modeling themselves after tmac when growing up watching him get 2 scoring titles.

He was a damn good individual player couple of years of ago, he probably had more than a handful of people looking up to him

Well put... IMO Mac was better than Kobe back then, so for someone around that age playing ball would model his game after tmac. Of course Kobe is way better looking back, but back when Tracy was Tracy McGrady, no one could stop him...
