Dobro I don't understand the madness either. People on here really need to understand Morey doesn't view basketball like they do. Morey and staff values exactly what Jones brings to the table. They do not go off of what happened in that playoff series against the Blazers. They also understand it was a injured riddled season for him this past season. He showed plenty of growth before those two injuries. But hey some fans knows best. Lol
If Dwight takes a starting salary of $20 million for some reason, Brewer and Lawson would need to go. If the Rockets want to keep Lawson, then Brewer, Beverley and Ariza would need to go.
Sarcasm? Dmo has proven he can win games for us this past season. He's a solid PF, not a star but at least a solid starter. He's a good passer, excellent post scorer, solid man-to-man defender because of his excellent footwork + IQ. His main issues are in PnR vs an athletic PG + Big man combo because of his lack of athleticism and foot speed to match. He also shot 37% from 3 last year.
Can't dominate at every position. That rotation for the 4 takes just over $5m next year. Not bad.....
Awesome move, really low risk deal to get a top 10-12 pg in the league. However I am not getting excited until I see Lawson in a Rockets uniform on the floor. Really nervous about the punishment for his 2nd DUI. Lawson at his best makes this team a top three or four team in the NBA, if he plays all season I would not be surprised to see us win 60+ games. Now I just hope DMo can come fully back from his surgery and that we have a relatively healthy season. Lawson/Beverley Harden/Thornton Ariza/Brewer Jones/DMo Howard/Capela Just an unbelievably stacked squad. This trade reminds me of the Artest trade in the summer of 2008. We already had a great duo in TMac and Yao and Artest was that 3rd impact player to complete the team. I truly believe that had TMac and Yao been healthy we could have won it all that season. Hopefully the team got all their injuries out of the way last season.

One big part about Lawson is he helps us with the Spurs tremendously. Spurs struggle against teams that have penetrating PG's. They can't cover up for Tony Parker on defense. We did very well vs them with Lin who was a solid scoring threat.
