Who would you rather trade for if you had to? Who has more potential? Who is a better passer? Both seem like they will get traded, but we will have to wait and see.
Collison. While Lawson is the more physical guard, Collison has shown, as a Rookie, he is capable of being a 20-10 PG.
Collison, EASILY. Collison was thrust into a Hornets team dependent upon its 1. Most plays were set up for Chris Paul, and Chris Paul only. Collison didn't have a Carmelo Anthony or Nene to throw the ball to, when times got tough. You put Lawson as the PG for NO when Paul was out, and I guarantee you he wouldn't have gotten close to 20/10.
Two different types of players. Collison is more of a scorer than Lawson is. I'll fully admit I'm biased, but give Lawson the minutes and opportunities that Collison got and he'd put up equal or better numbers.
I think that Collison is the better player, but he had way too many turnovers. If he can cut the turnovers down, he could be something special. He had 14 games with 5 or more turnovers. Almost all of those games came after CP went down. In one week, he had a 10 TO game and an 8 TO game
