I need a new TX registration sticker for my vehicle, and cant seem to find where that letter/form is that came in the mail. How do I go about getting one now?
go to the county tax assesor's office. The one I went to was off longpoint near Bingle. Give them your liscense plate info, drivers liscense and proof of insurance.
All you need is your Driver's License codes and your proof of Insurance to enter some information in the site BmwM3 suggests.
If you have your receipt from the last time you got your tags, that will work too. I did it that way just last week.
I'll see your site and raise you a more direct link (assuming this is in Harris County)... https://rts.texasonline.state.tx.us...ewal/jsp/txdot_reg_ren_enter_vehicle_info.jsp All you need is your TXLP# and the last 4 digits of your VIN.
I'll see your information and raise you more information. Also your insurance will be needed during the entering process.
It wasn't needed when I renewed mine online in January... It has something to do with the new system where they link your insurance info with your plates...
Is it still possible to renew by mail if the sticker has expired? I know it can't be done online but I loathe standing in line for hours at the tax collectors office.
I think it depends on how expired it is. I think over 30 days and you have to do it in person. I could be wrong though. Also, I think you can actually do it at several Kroger stores.
Oh, I did mine in December and had to type in the insurance information. You did yours more recently so you win.
they don't do BANK SH_T, or IRS crap... or Fajita Me... oh, wait, yeah, wait... that's the only one you got right, you ******* .
You're telling me that you can't buy jeans, plan a trip, bank, or see a tax consultant at a Fiesta? I, sir, call bulls***.
