1. espn.com Never visiting that site again. Someone please kindly post Simmons' new article whenever he gets around to writing it. I don't ****ing understand how a company like ESPN needs to have two ****ing pop-up ads every time I click on one of their sites. It's not like they're a company that's barely getting by. And yes, this is coming from someone who works at a company who makes most of their revenues off of ads. 2. I just got my car detailed since it's finally stopped raining and it's been around two months since I last had it washed. I should've ****ing known that the first stoplight I pull up to after pulling out of the car wash would have the sprinkler system turn on as soon as I came to a stop. Now I'm going to have spots all over the driver's side of my ****ing car after just paying a nice sum of money to get it washed. Carry on.
rocketman.. I was thinking the same t hing the other day.... those pop up ads on espn drive me crazy!
get popup killer. i've used it for the past year and didn't even know that ESPN has pop up ads! It eases one of life's many annoyances.
To make matters worse. the Miller Light Pop-up add actually has an option button at the bottom that says I do not want to play. In the past when ESPN had pop up game ads the button that said I don't wwant to play set a cookie that disabled that poup. Well the one on the miller light ad does not work. No matter how many times I click on I do not want to play, the stupid thing still comes up
espns pop up ads arent as bad as some other sites...but i do hate pop up ads... ive had some pop up ads that fill up the whole screen, and dont even have a little X to close them. i have to press control alt delete to close them. those are the worst... i never wash my car in the first place....
Sorry to hear you are having a bad day. It'll get better. And yes...the two things you mentioned are definite pi$$ers.
And the damn washing machine is taking too long so I'm not going to get to go to the movies like I wanted...ah!!!!!!!!!!! Oh well. It's not that bad a day anyway. I could have so many other things wrong that these two things really aren't worth b****ing about, just fun to vent sometimes.
1. I hate pop up ads as well. I just stop going to sites that bombard you with these damn things. 2. When I used to detail my car, this would happen as well. Then I started using Maguiars Polish, Wax, and Spray and wipe. Problem solved. I'd like to share two things that piss me off as well if I may. 1. Anytime a situation is brought up where my ex is involved, Tara and I get into a massive argument! 2. Stupid Bosses--I'm ready to change school districts because the administration is worthless. Oddly enough, this is what caused the most recent blow up pertaining to reason #1!
you know whats worse than pop ups? those damn animated gifs that appear on top of a web page. you have to scrounge around looking for the hidden "x" to close the ad. its even worse when they have embedded music files and my speakers are still set on high from blasting music the day before!
Don't you come out with a new version of "XXX things that really piss me off" about every month? Man, there's medication for this.....and support groups and classes too.
Great thread. Every post must include at least one . RM95, the movie probably would have stunk anyway. At least you'll have some clean clothes now. I suppose every weekend is a let-down after meeting Dr. Laura in Vegas. Refman, that is so lame. Here's lifting a glass to your short job seach and your next employment. FT, is Tara your boss at school? I don't have much to beeotch about just now, but it's the time in the term where a steady stream of students come by wanting to know why they're failing just because they've never shown up to class.
Don't make me start a thread about you. Ah, the movie, Auto Focus is supposed to be good. I thought I was going to make it, but then my parents called and said they were in town and going to lunch at Chuys. Ahhhh, I already ate lunch. But still, I went and had a couple of drinks with them and I'm feeling much better now. BTW, I haven't met Dr. Laura yet...two weeks!!
You should of informed your parents about the wonder of celluloid, my friend. Quite a solid little film and a performance that looks to bring Kinnear another oscar nom.
It's been 7 months for me. Let me know if you get to Houston. We could meet at a local watering hole and drown our sorrows in a frosty beverage.
