Chronicles of Riddick - Looks like Vin "No Charisma" Diesel is reprising his role from the underrated sci-fi movie "Pitch Black" (which incidentally featured Farscape's Claudia Black) as this mysterious dude named Riddick. No doubt he will kick lots of ass, and the movie actually looks very stylish as well. Sort of a Dune-ish feel to some of the scenes. Trailer - http://www.apple.com/trailers/universal/thechroniclesofriddick/ Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow- I don't really know alot about this, but apparently it was based on something that lots of people liked. I can't argue with the cast as it features Jude Law who is usually excellent (I'll forgive him his atrocious role in that atrocious rat turd 'Cold Mountain'), Gweneth Paltrow, and Angelina Jolie. Mainly I'm drooling over any screentime for Angelina because she is the hottest actress ever. It looks very zany, and it has piqued my interest. Trailer - http://www.apple.com/trailers/paramount/skycaptainandtheworldoftomorrow/ This summer looks to be pretty eventful on the movie front, with a new Tony Scott film (All hail the Scott brothers), Troy, a new Broken Lizard movie (You like Super Troopers?), Spiderman 2, Harry Potter ( ), Van Helsing, King Arthur, Anchorman, I Robot, The Village, Alien vs. Predator, Blade: Trinity, and then the above two. Wow. I can hardly wait.
We already talked about that Sky Captain movie in some other thread. It does look very interesting. I hope the story is as good as the CGI.
vin diesel movies i think suck sky captain...im down for lots of cgi in a movie if done well. ill see this on dvd probably troy looks ehhh...we'll see club dread will most likely rock as will spiderman2, anchorman, blade3. punisher might be good, hellboy looks great, incredibles and shrek2 will be good no doubt, havnt seen trailer for the rest you mentioned or they look crappy as well.
Sky captain looks sweet! I love going to the cinema and seeing something unique instead of redone hollywood crap! It definately looks like something I've never seen before!
That happens a lot. For early trailers, music from other movies (or other trailers) is used temporarily as the music for the film is still being written and recorded.
