Through my observation of Rockets as a team, I have concluded that two biggest problems are Rudy and Hakeem. Rudy, the inept coach who should have traded Hakeem. Hakeem, a local legendary hero who is making 15 mil a year for plays that are way pass his prime. I know many of you would disagree with me in a second. But obviously this team is not going to be in the play offs(as I predicted in the preseason) this year AND next year, without any improvement. So what do you think the most two urgent areas that need to be improved.
Did you watch another game or is this still based on the 3 games you saw while in Cali? Maybe the fact that this team is one of the youngest is a problem? Maybe a rookie point guard is the problem? Maybe, the lack of a true power forward? Or maybe we should just relax and watch as Rudy T has already accelerated the rebuilding process by 5 years trading for a franchise player, getting a player everyone of us wanted(Anderson) and happens to be a great defender who never complains about his shots like Pippen did, just goes out and plays and is only 25? Oh, and by the way, drafted a nobody who could be 6th man of the year who is also just 23 or 24? You blame him for not trading Dream. You blame him for practically having it rain in Houston. Why not praise him for what he has done? Or does that go to Dawson? Maybe watching another game will point out another problem like the Gatorade being the wrong flavor and Rudy T should be blamed for that also. ------------------ Live Rocketball. Breathe Rocketball. Caveman, you obviously have been living in a cave. I agree with Almu about Rudy and Carol Dawson's ability to find talent and rebuilding. You guys kill me when you think you know more about coaching than a veteran NBA coach or for that matter, the people in the NBA that picked Rudy to coach our national team in the Olympics. Obviously he is respected by his peers for his talent which shows what your opinion is worth.
Almu, man that was funny. However, I think Caveman has a point. Rudy T is evil incarnate. He should probably be killed so that civilization can go on. I mean, he has terrorized the city of Houston long enough, expecially West U, with his dedication and hard work and ummm less than exactly sober driving. Caveman want kill Rudy! Grrrrrr. Caveman froze long time in block ice in Greenland then move California to thaw skull. Still frozen.
Blah blah blah Phil Jackson blah blah blah ------------------ We would like to get rookie Francis on the break for some easy scoops in the first quarter...
Guys, guys, remember: Unfrozen Caveman Lawyer is "frightened by our strange, technological society". G-man, I laughed myself silly at your post.
Firing Rudy is being stupid. He is the best coach there is at finding and developing new young talent. For example Robert Horry, Sam Cassel, Kenny Thomas, Othella Harrington. Now that we will have a higher pick this year, Rudy can find a potential superstar that is just right for the Rockets. ------------------ More Losses = More Balls!
