Obviously David West wants out of New Orleans. Makes sense. Hope it doesn't backfire on him, but as long as he's reasonably healthy, he should get a decent contract on a decent team. Wonder where CP3 will end up. I'd hate to see that kind of talent stuck on a team going nowhere (dramatic pause) and THIS coming from a Rockets fan. (Please, Chris, go East, young man.)

Agreed but I think when it's all said and done he'll have to choose between ring chasing and simply getting paid. Finding the perfect mix of a potential contender that just so happens to need a scoring PF is very difficult.

This is his last chance for an NBA payday. I don't see anyone paying him $50 million guaranteed. Maybe 4yrs/$30MM if his physical is perfect.
Agreed. I think he could be a good fit for a team like Washington. His post game and the potential to draw doubles would greatly benefit Vesley and McGee. Plus, with Wall running the show they can play the PnR game. Just an idea, though. I'm sure there are other possibilities.
I think it might have to do with that, yes, but also, Chris Paul can say all the right things ("I want to be here [in N.O.], I want to win a championship for this city, I like puppies and the American flag [is the camera still on?], all the empty seats in the stadium here in a financially-shellacked city don't bother me..."), but it isn't entirely likely that he wants to stay there. And without Chris Paul, that team goes south, quick. David West might have looked ahead and seen that iceberg WAY before Leo and Kate appeared on deck. Time to bail.
I think he'd fit with the Lakers. They don't need him with Bynum/Gasol/Odom already, but I still like the fit.
Bad fit. Amare needs a defensive big at the 5. No way NYK would waste that kind of cap space on someone that is not Paul, DWill, or Howard. But who knows, we are talking about the Knicks...
