TW informs 1.3 million customers they'll lose NFL network

    Not that I'm going to buy it, but I guess it's a good thing Comcast is coming to H-town. Then again I have to admire Time Warner refusing to pay the outrageous fees the NFL wants.

    Millions of customers to lose NFL Network

    Time Warner Cable has informed 1.3 million subscribers that they will lose the NFL Network, as of midnight Sept. 15. The cancellation will affect former Adelphia systems now owned by TW Cable and Comcast. A TW official said the decision to drop the channel was the result of the NFL net's request for a 250% increase in monthly licensing fees for the eight regular-season primetime games. However, an NFL Network spokesman said the channel is not demanding that increase under the current contract, which could run as long as another four years.

    This is all BS...TW just moved to Dallas and now I won't have it... :mad:

    It'll be offered, as I understand it, as a separate sports package...I pay way too much for cable...I need to move to Dish...

    yea, Dish!!! :)

    i was watching bits and pieces of the replay of the pats/bills game from sunday. they mix in post-game interviews talking about the specific "big plays" they're showing on the screen. cool stuff.
