Anyone catch this last night on CW? I watched it because a) there was nothing else on and b) Kevin Smith directed it. It's about a guy who has had his soul sold to the devil by his parents. His debt comes due when he turns 21. The devil tells him he has to go around and collect escaped souls from hell with 'vessels' that are different for every week. Pretty meh show, IMO. I think Smith just directed it to make a quick buck. The production value reminded me of Smallville or Buffy. It ended up being a ghostbusters ripoff, complete with the silly costumes and soul sucking vacuum. The chubby guy was fairly funny (the humor was very Kevin Smith), and the acting was decent, but it was hardly enough to make it watchable. In the end the devil helps the main character win a ham.
Thought about watching this show but didn't want to commit to it, once I start watching a show I feel compelled to keep watching. Sounds like I didn't miss much. The chubby guy was on Invasion a few years ago, liked him on that.
The review on TV Squad was pretty favorable saying the only problems are that it's on the CW and the "love interest" character.
