I'm looking for a good TV Series I can watch from the beginning (Season 1) to current or one that has been complete. I have currently watched or am watching: Shows that I am currently up-to-date (seen every aired episode): Battlestar Galactica LOST Prison Break Shows that I am currently "catching up" to: 24: I'm on Season 5 Heroes: In the middle of the first season CSI Las Vegas: I don't think ill ever catch up/finish House : Watched the first few eps The Office: I'm in the middle of season 2 The Wire: I'm on season 3 Curb Your Enthusiasm: Forgot which season i'm on but me and m fiancee can coexist on watching this show I know, I know, why am I looking for more shows when I still have some catching up to do? Well I really like finding the shows that you MUST watch the next episode and can not skip an episode (like 24). Heroes started off that way but it kind of got a little too predictable to me. Is there any other shows you could recommend that isn't too predictable and has a gripping story? No reality shows please, I banned their existance in my house. Edit: I completely forgot about my HBO series that i watch, so I added them.
To bad you don't like reality. If you are a fan of the CSI series, you would love The First 48 on A&E.
Is that show insane, or what?? Most of the series we watch seem to be on HBO. Entourage is really good. Big Love is worth watching. I wish Rome was still on.
What about Jericho? I'm mad I have to wait for January and February for Battlestar Galactica and Lost to start back up. At least Heroes starts back up in September, I think.
Has anybody been watching It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia? I have caught it a few times and it is pretty awesome show, I think.
I'd recommend just about any of the HBO series. The Wire is probably the best show on television right now. It has 3 seasons on dvd and the 4th season (which is the best imo) is coming to dvd soon. Obviously the sopranos, band of brothers and entourage and worth watching as well. I just watched the first season of Rome on dvd and the 2nd and last season is coming out to dvd next week. Big Love is also very good but only has 1 season out on dvd. It's 2nd season airing right now has been great and better than the 1st season, so if i were you i might just wait till it comes out before starting the series. As for non-hbo shows, i really like Weeds as a comedy/drama. Joss Whedon's Firefly is also worth a look (there is only one season so you can watch it all in a day). the movie Serenity is the series' movie adaption so if you liked that you'll like the series. If you liked the office i'd recommend you watch the British Office. They are difference enough that they stand on their own. And i personally think the british version is right up there with seinfield as the best sitcom i've ever seen. The xmass special was probably the greatest finale of a series in television history.
I somehow forgot about The Wire and Curb Your Enthusiasm, so I edited my original post and added them. AS it stands it looks like Scrubs, Entourage, and the Sopranos are most reccomended so far, thanks. Question, how is Scrubs comparable to ER or Grey's Anatomy?
Definitely get Rome, too bad it was too expensive for them to keep making it. Scrubs is good and has 5 seasons on DVD. My favorite series of all time, Buffy, is totally done and has 7 seasons all on DVD. Joss Whedon made this as well as Angel (not as good, but decent) and Firefly (not as good as Buffy, but excellent in it's own right). SportsNight ran for 3 seasons and is on DVD, very funny. The Shield and Rescue Me from FX are both fantastic. The Shield is my favorite cop show ever.
