I don't know why I wanted to know this but found it interesting to see so thought the Rocket faithful might as well. Anyway, I found this on the ratings of the game on Sunday. Apparently, the ratings were up 81% from last years Mavericks-Pistons game. Maybe as the mass news outlets begin to see the fans are watching then they'll get interested in pimping the team a bit more. Doesn't matter in the end. We are kicking A$$ and taking names and I'm loving it. Heres the link http://www.usatoday.com/sports/weekend-tv-ratings.htm
It's a combination of both I would say. I know people that I talk to were watching because I have been hyping the streak to anyone that would listen. My brother was flipping from the SEC championship, the Big Ten championship, Tiger the golfing genius and the Rockets. People have heard about the streak even if they don't follow the NBA, and everyone knows Kobe.. so between those two factors it was a must see game (if you like basketball at all)
well seeing that the media loves the rockets sooooo much (being sarcastic) i bet it was like 70% lakers 30% rockets......and honestly that is fine by me, when we win the championship this year then they will all $hit there pants with confusion and then next year still call us a dark horse.
yea i dont get it... why to people settle for 2nd-tier basketball when they can watch the pros play ? thats like choosing to eat at mcdonalds when you can afford to have dinner at a fine restaurant.
because for the most part, their fans are a lot more intense than pro fans and the environment is a lot better
or maybe its due to the fact that many people enjoy watching college players give it all they got without getting paid a single penny.
ABC = 720p HD CBS/TNT/NBC 1080i HD. Your TV(most likely) = 1080i HD display. 720p is noticeable on a 1080i set. Not sure if the newer 1080p sets can display it properly, considering it has to jump between different formats depending on the channel.
