If it makes you feel better boomboom they are in my top25 all time.

They still come on Fox26 @ 11:30pm and FX from 9-10 on most nights. :D

Glad to see SNL, Simpsons, and Sopranos in the Top 10. I would like to have seen the Cosby Show, Friends and Cheers higher though.

Am I the only person in the world who can't freakin' stand I Love Lucy and The Honeymooners? Just cause you're first does not mean you're one of the best.

Also, how in the hell did thirtysomething and Twin Peaks get on there? Wasn't Twin Peaks on for like a year?

MASH should've been much higher as well.

    Seinfeld #1? Ahead of Lucy?

The Simpsons should at least be in the top five, if not number one. The Simpsons has poked fun at just about every single facet of life you can think of, and has caused controversy worldwide. I think it has suffered from hanging on too long, so it's only #8.

Married With Children was definitely one of my favorite shows...probably the most underrated sitcom in the past 15 years. It was like a Loony Tunes cartoon. I knew all the jokes before they were told, yet laughed anyways.

I even remember what NO MA'AM stands for!

My absolute favorite episode of MWC has to be the one where Al and Jefferson were attempting to construct the workbench. I just roll around laughing every time I see it. The best interaction between Al and Jefferson was them trying to finish the bench and needing more metal "L's", but finding that they did not have anymore so they would have to make some out of the metal "7's" that they had. Pure genius. (I guess that doesn't say much about my perception of genius):D

    How about this?

Who's that riding in the sun?
Who's the man with the itchy gun?
Who's the man who kills for fun?
Psycho Dad, Psycho Dad, Psycho Dad.

He sleeps with a gun, but he loves his son.
Killed his wife 'cause she weighed a ton.
    He's Psycho Dad, Psycho Dad.

A little touched or so we're told,
killed his wife 'cause she had a cold,
might as well she was getting old...
Psycho Dad, Psycho Dad, Psycho Dad.

    He's quick with a gun,
    and his job ain't done.
    He's Psycho Dad.

Who's that riding in the sleigh?
Who's that firing along the way?
Who's roughing up bums on Christmas day?
Psycho Dad, Psycho Dad, Psycho Dad.

Who's that riding across the plain?
Who's proud 'cause his wife is slain?
Who's the man who's plumb insane?
Psycho Dad, Psycho Dad, Psycho Dad.

    "I Care" by Al Bundy

    When hooters giggle around
and I find nickels on the ground
    I care

    When the Mustang engine purrs
    and the bathroom's not hers
    I care

When the pitcher's on the mound
    and the wife is underground
    I care.

But when I've been playing this for days
    I'll kill anyone who stays
    I swear!
    -----

    Honeymooners belongs up there.

    Where the music stinks,
    and they water the drinks,
    the nudie bar.

    Where the girlies dance
    in their underpants,
    the nudie bar.

    Where you see their butt,
    and their trap stays shut,
    at the nudie bar.

Where you can't touch a breast,
but you can cave in a chest,
    at the nudie bar.

Where you look at a thigh,
    and blacken an eye,
    at the nudie bar.

Where the beer gives you gas,
    but the BUNDYS KICK ASS!,
    at the nudie bar

Married With Children when they were at their peak was great and very funny, but when the show became bad, it became wretchedly bad. The last few seasons of the show were just absolute garbage. I never really liked the first couple of seasons either.

As for the list, I’m glad Seinfeld was number 1, but I would have had The Simpson’s at least in the top 5.

My favorite episode was when COPS filmed Al and Officer Dan, and Bud tried to get Kelly in a nun's commercial for "Extra Virgin Olive Oil".

How in the world did this become a Married With Children thread? I used to watch that show, but only because Christina Applegate was really hot, in a trashy sort of way.

RM95, I think the list was designed to reward originality. The Honeymooners has got to be one of the most copied shows on television. Lucy was original, and it was probably the most popular show of all time. Twin Peaks - I didn't watch much of it when it came out, but I sat down and watched the full series with friends in college. It was well done, well directed, incredibly original, and just plain bizarre. In a good way.

I thought Buffy should have switched positions with Friends, but other than that a pretty good list.

How on Earth is Letterman ahead of Carson? I don't think so.

Oh, I don't doubt that it was a good series, but wasn't it only on for a year? To me, that's way too short a time to be able to put a show in the top 50. If that's the case, where in the hell is Six Feet Under or The West Wing?

    A couple of things:

    1) I agree with Sammy...how in the hell did this thread become a Married With Children thread? That show was okay, but like New Jack said it was crap near the end of its run.

    2) Completely agree with Seinfeld being #1.

    3) The Simpsons and Andy Griffith (especially the ones that were with Don Knotts) should have been in the top 5.

    4) Don't really know if I Love Lucy and the Honeymooners should have been in the top 5, but there is no way in hell, IMO, that an HBO show (the Sopranos) should have been in the top 5, especially over shows like the Simpsons and Andy Griffith.

    5) Bewitched at #50 is a joke; it should have been higher than that...

Am I reading this wrong? Is Star Trek the original series not on there? Piffle. And a list without WKRP? Hmph.
