My friend just got me to sign up with Directv. It's going to cost me $31 a month with free HD for life as long as I do auto bill pay, plus no charges for installation or equipment. (Free HD DVR upgrade) If you are looking to switch to DTV, now is a great time as they are offering a $29 a month rebate if you sign up online for 12 months, and then $14 a month rebate after that for the next 12 months. [shameless plug] If you are interested I can save you an extra $10 a month if you go as a referral for me. It saves us both $10 a month for 10 months.
intersting deal.... Im in a bad situation. I live on the 3rd floor of my apartment complex. The only way we can do a dish is for them to put it on a pole in the ground, as I've seen other apartment units do this but I have NOT seen one wired all the way up to the 3rd floor. I think the complex will feel that is too tacky thus not letting us do it. I would do it otherwise.
We were about to get DISH, they have a similar sale going on. Although, this sounds great. Gonna check it out. We're about to move into a house and we are dropping our crappy cable provider....Suddenlink. Hope Dtv provides FSNhouston like Dish. (in Nac).
Yeah. I'm not signing up for that right now as my other tv isn't on, but I will eventually. They are discounting that as well. I emailed you by the way rawool.
Ugh, DirecTV can suck on my left testicle. We were firm lovers of DirecTV with 3 receivers and all the regular channels plus some. We paid them huge amounts of money in our second year, for just television. When we developed a financial problem we decided we'd drop to the least expensive package which apparently lessened our channels and the chance that it would work. You've got to be kidding me! Every time you changed the channel from a local channel to a DirecTV channel it would give me the blank screen and say, "Retrieving signal." It would sit there for days and randomly just come back on. God forbid you change the channel on a Sunday between games during football season or you'd lose it. I called and spoke to them and they said I'd have to pay the fee for someone to come out and look and then pay more to fix the issue. As far as I am concerned I am leasing these items from you and I understand if I had just poured hot coffee on my receiver, but the problem was obviously between the satelites. The little one on the back of my house and the big one on the side. Why should I have to pay for the horrible service of you coming out and scratching your head saying, "Hum...I'm not sure what's wrong. That'll be 150 dollars." We finally canceled our services and by God you'd think we'd chopped off their foot. I had them call me six or seven times asking why I was canceling and if there was anything they can do. They offered us many deals but I told them, "It's too effin' late for you to do anything, you should have done something when I needed it. Don't call me again." Sorry about the rant, just thought I'd share with those who are thinking about switching. And OP, don't you get 50 or 100 dollars for each who signs up too?
Sorry for your crappy service! Sounds like my experiences with Comcrap. As disclosed in original post, I get $100 over 10 months in bill credits as done anyone who signs up and uses me as a referral.
10 referrals every year is the limit. I doubt ten will actually sign up though and use me as a referral. Either way you can still get the great directv deal that is out there right now. Using me as a referral just helps a clutchfans brother out.
I've been with DirecTV for 10 years. If anyone uses me as a referral not only will you save money, but I'll also give you rep.
Hey hey, don't creep on my thread fool! Edit: One happy customer has signed up and used me as a referral. Rep points PLUS $10 a month. That's awesome!
DirecTV is a good deal for 12 months and then after that it is by far the most expensive option for TV.
I don't see how. Even after all of their deals expire they are still going to be less than I'm paying for Comcast because of the HD and DVR fees that Comcast hits me with.
So what's the best deal out there. I'm moving to an area of north Austin and uverse isn't available here. I need HD and dvr service and timewarner up here doesn't have NFL network (which despite what my wife says I have to have). I also need highspeed Internet as part of the deal.
