Just a heads up, Rockets GM Carrol Dawson is scheduled to appear as a guest on Sports Sunday tonight, 10:30pm on Channel 2.

I'll try to post the segment here after the show.

Btw...I can't make any guarantees, but if you have any questions for Dawson post them here. His time is limited, but I'll see what I can do and pass them along.

    Thanks.

What do you feel was your best move made as Rockets GM?

I too wonder how he'd answer that. The deal that landed Francis was the most complicated in league history.

The decision to draft Yao @ #1 was far braver than people realize. I think it was easier for Rudy & CD to do it because Rox fans know it's our basketball-gods-given right to have a great center. Still, I don't think the majority of GM's would have pulled that trigger.

The T-Mac trade must have been painful for him, but it was such a no-brainer. I'll always love Steve & Cat specifially because they blinded the hockey guy into thinking our deal was better than Indiana's. :D

Picking Cat in the 2nd round may have been Rudy all the way, but that was pretty darned sweet.

In truth, I hope CD writes a book. I'd like to know what he thought when he worked with Dream as an asst. coach after practice, and why and when he stopped. Was he kind of like the anti-Thibodeaux, or did he just finally realize that Dream was an alien?

I hate that CD is so reviled here. He's the last Rocket Man left in the family.

Good stuff. Let's hear some more. Remember, I can't guarantee any of these will get asked but it's worth a shot.

I'd like to hear him talk about Morey. What does he think of Morey's "stats" system?

    Question for CD
Condidering that JVG has been unable to use or develop the talents of
Steve Novac, John Lucas III, V. Span, Greg Snyder and Bonzi Wells, if given another chance what would you have done instead? Yetti

"CD, What is the difference in coaching styles between Rudy T and JVG?"

"CD, What will be your most memorable moment as a Houston Rockets"

"How has the game changed in the last 10 years?"

"Have the new rules played a factor in how Yao can play the game? Particularly allowing a zone?"

"Do you like the "no touch" rules on the perimeter, has it improved the game?"

"What has happened to the Mid range game?"

How about, "Besides health, what is the one thing you believe can put this team into championship contention year-in and year-out?"

Just make sure you don't let him off the hook if he decides to push the company line instead of telling you what he really thinks...

Yep, Greg Snyder could have been a real difference maker.

    If he existed, I mean.

    damn it's already on.

what do you sense from this club?

its always worth the home court. crowds been good. a lot of support. 25th sell out on monday. great things to come. lot of fun basketball coming up.

is there one memory that will stand out?

truthfully thers been alot. if i ahd to pick one, to be part of a championship team in 94, but theres alot. theres been 180 players in rockets uniforms according to jim foley. talked about del harris, and bill fitch. chaney. and Rudy.

looking at the club seven 50 win teams. jvg, lock him up?

talked to jeff, and he wanted to wait til the end of the year. he's done a good job. despite the injuries they did well.

one heck of a career. 27 years. gonna be a big night tommorow vs the phoenix suns.

    thanks carroll.

good to be here with you randy.

yeah, i typed that up as i watched it.

theres this black man up in brooklyn name jackie robinson. i was just a 13 year old boy, but he meant something. he won the peoples hearts because of his manners. he changed society.

    oh i guess it's done.

u do know he is legally blind right? He was struck by lighting on the golf course yrs ago and really messed up his eyes. I don't think there are many fashionable choices of frames for lenses that are thick due to all the correction he needs.
