So, the show is only 3 days away.... airs 10 PM CST on TBS. Can't wait to see Conan on TV again.. feels like it's been forever. The opener features guests Seth Rogen and Lea Michele, plus a performance by Jack White.

I hate this marriage. Conan will only work well on the networks. That said, he will do no worse than Lopez, but myself in a thong would get better ratings on TBS at that hour also. I'm disappointed, BUT I STILL LOVE COCO!
I'm excited to have him back but I don't see this working long term. What channel is TBS anyway? That's how much people care about that network. He will get lost in the shuffle without a network prime time lineup to lead viewers to the show. I'm actually a little shocked he went this route. This is a huge step down.
I share your sentiments. I was a bit confused as to the reason he chose TBS. Maybe it's the money? Maybe all that mess clouded his judgment? I don't think this is going to be a long term thing. He'll eventually move on and retire in a real network.
there arent many options for the guy - the big 3 have their late night slots filled and fox affiliates were not going to pick him up. coco knows what he is doing - just biding his time. letterman will probably retire w/in 5 years so conan will take over for him and get to go head-to-head against the chin. i think the mistake is putting him up against stewart/colbert - they pretty much share the same target audience - putting him on either right after or even right before would probably get more viewers. its a pretty good situation for coco - he only does 4 shows a week.
Every day for the past ~7 days they've given away 1000 uniquely designed Conan shirts on Twitter. They seem to run out in -10 seconds. The one time I caught a tweet 'posted 5 seconds ago' they were already out.
I don't think he had a choice, like jo mama said (lol) I think he'll do decent in the cable ratings because he has a very loyal niche audience. Not great, but good for TBS. I think he'll have Family Guy leading into him, so it's not like he has nothing before him. Plenty of people watch sitcom reruns nightly on TBS. It can't be worse than the 9pm Jay Leno Show was (relatively). I agree that he'll probably end up back on network eventually. CBS seems a little conservative for him though, so I dunno. Maybe Kimmel goes to CBS and Conan to ABC? But I could see CBS going with Ferguson too.
