Some beautiful Clips of "The Bonz" throwing down a monster Jam and stroking from the 3-line. Thanks for the heads up, once again.
The best part was CD talking about KillBill. He compared his "gregarious" nature, leadership, and positive attitude to Bob Sura, which was great to hear!
he does sort of remind me of sura, from what i've seen. i like that our additions of bill, bonz, and snyder all bring a sort of nastyness.
yesssssss. with the score in the corner.... sac 61 sas 51 remindning me how the spurs had no answer for big bonzzz (even though they won the series)
They showed video of Bonzil. Then CD said something about Bonz being pretty much in the can, but Keith Jones is out in indiana marrying bonzi's three legged, one-eyed sister to close the deal. It's pretty well done, but to get Bonzi to ball for 2 mil the Rox have agreed to replace piping on jerseys and shorts with mink fur and allow bonzi's rap video ho posse into the lockerroom after games. Also, the Rockets will be adding Bonzi themed concessions. They will be putting in "Bonzi's Blunts" carts throughout the lower level of TC. Toyota Center will be doing Bonzi promotions -every night when Bonzi scores 20 points or gets 10 boards, one lucky fan will get busted on misdemeanor possession charges and get bailed out by Bonzi's legal team. CD doesn't think that Bonzi's attitude issues with the Jailblazers and the t-wolves will follow him to Houston.
Recap (as best as I can recall, and paraphrased) "Well, the Battier deal was too good to pass up. Shane played well in the World Championships and did/does a lot of things that can help a team win. Everybody is really going to like him." "Spanoulis is a guy we drafted 2 years ago and have been keeping an eye on him over in Europe. He plays very much with a Bob Sura type of demeanor. I think people are really going to appreciate the way he plays. Let me tell you, he loves it here. If he were any more excited about being in Houston I think he'd split in half." "Bonzi is a real nice player. He's averaged up close to about 15 points per game for his career, and he's a good rebounder for a guard...I believe he averaged more than 7 rebounds (actually 12) against San Antonio in their playoff series last year." (I think he said maybe one more thing, but maybe not...he didn't talk much about him at all) "The main thing is just to get Tracy and Yao healthy. After last year I think Tracy especially is really itching to get back out there again. We just hope that he comes back and plays like we know he can, and that Yao picks up where he left off last year before he got injured, because he was just tearing up the league. So that's definitely the main concern right now is just staying healthy." *Regarding this being his last season as GM: "It's a little more special. And yeah, it has come up pretty quick. Seems like the off-season just flew by and now it's coming up within a year now. To be honest I've been so busy that I haven't really had time to think much about it, but now it's...I'm starting to think about it a little bit. Most importantly though I just want to focus on making this team better and making it a successful year for the organization." Not exact, but I thought the paraphrased quote format might be a little more interesting to read than the usual bulleted list.
